Llangothlin NSW - more of a locality these days, sitting just north of Guyra. Has a lake of sorts, a fuel station, and a whole lot of cold in winter.

Nukarni WA, 'bout 300km east northeast of Perth. In other words, in the middle of bloody nowhere!

Ashmont, a locality of Wagga Wagga NSW, often called Trashmont for obvious reasons, and where my son's stolen work ute was found few days later after being taken from inside his place one night.

And sadly, the place of some pretty gruesome events. Definitely not a highlight of Wagga Wagga.

Tumbi Umbi -

The hometown of Scottish RU player Nathan Hines.
I wouldn't like to carry a carton from Tumbi Umbi to Murrayfield.

SIMPLE RULES.
Next town in the chain starts with the last letter of the previous town. No previous entries.
A bit of trivia about the town is needed.
Use of resource material is discouraged but not against rules.

Eugowra, NSW, in the no man's land in the Central West competition as has no rugby club so a local has to choose between Cowra, Parkes, Forbes and Orange rugby union teams to play for unless he's into league!

Does anyone want to change the rules to the third letter of the town name or the third last letter of the town name dictating the next starting letter to see if we can get some new letters in use?

Otherwise some letters will never, ever get used.

Ayr, Queensland - close to Townsville. Don Walker of Cold Chisel fame, one of Australia's greatest ever songwriters comes from the town.

This is by no means my game. I didn't get involved until about page 11.

yourmatesam actually started it. I think it would be up to him to make a call on any rule changes.
So do I start with R?

Red Rock NSW
Great pub there with the bar top made from one solid piece of redwood. Sort of halfway between Cohffs and Grafton

Not my game, yourmatesam started it. I am just an active player and a pedant for rules!:)

A summary of towns previously used (and therefore not available for reuse is on page 13 of this thread, and a summary of starting letters used to that time is on p 14 and vvvvv), if that helps.
Summary so far (may be an error or two in the count)
A = 35, N = 27, Y & E = 18, H = 16, G & R = 10, K = 9, O = 9, T = 8, I = 7, L = 5, S = 4, W = 3, D & B & M = 2, C & P & U = 1. Yet to trouble the Scorer are F, J, Q, V, X and Z.

Let's get working on some of the lower numbers in the count: S, W, B, C, D, M, F, and P.

Double points for the town or suburb that leads to a Jindabyne, Jimcumbilly, or Jilliby, Quakers Hill, or Queanbeyan, Vincentia or Victoria, or a Zeehan entry.

Note: Penriff won't count towards an F starter, but Cardiff would.

As much as some letters may not get used, this game is cool as it stands for the the snippets of trivia about the towns, many of which are rugby related.

I'm happy for the status quo to be maintained, although I must admit I am hanging out for a "B" - Bonnie Doon. The town with the most serenity in Australia. - Darryl Kerrigan. Most of the "Knob"s have already been used (Yorkeys and Iron) so it may be a long wait.:(

Heyfield- VIC

Famous for the local derbies between them and Maffra with on one occasion more arrests than there were players in the team. but is was only aussie rules so it doesn't really count.
