cant kick and doesn't pass- 9/10 his action is catch, dummy, fend, get tackled..although sometimes he does change it up by leaving out dummy just a bit of variety to keep the opposition guessing

That is exactly what he does at 13 making him very predictable. He has been most effective out wide with one man to beat to get to the try line. He is also very safe as a last line of defense and solid under the high ball. His kicking game is on par or better than KBs.
Personally I would start him at 13 to keep the AB centers in check and then bring Kuridrani on early in the second half.
It will be interesting to see where Link thinks AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) should be.

Something funny I thought I might point out:

Was in a NSW Upper House Parliamentary enquiry today, and the subject of the Bledisloe Cup was raised (in terms of government investment and tourism numbers). Which prompted one member to say "don't worry, we will be OK on Saturday. We finally have Quade back"

So it shows it isn't just Queenslanders who love Quade!

moving him to fullback isn't going to change his predictability factor his still going to not pass it and just continue to go himself. I think saying he has a on-par kicking game to beale is stretching it, let alone saying that its better.

Matt To'omua expected to get the nod at No.10 ahead of Quade Cooper for Bledisloe opener

Wonder if this is true.

Not a bad plan defensively strong high paced game, Quade on in the second half to break the game open, also saves the initial roasting from the all blacks

No great surprise if true, either way. Link's refusal to instantly name Cooper as the 10 should have indicated he was no shoe-in.

Agree it's not a bad tactic for To'omua to take the initial onslaught, although if we are badly chasing the game and Cooper comes are we will likely be toast anyway.

Will be interesting to see how the team plays, one of the key differences between To'omua and the other two flyhalves is the amount of time they touch the ball - To'omua gets it a lot less per game than generally than Foley and Cooper, who both also average a lot more passes per game.

The selection of To'omua definitely indicates a tighter game plan, which should be of no surprise in Test rugby.

If true, in this one selection Link has got me BIG KEV EXCITED.

Truth is the Reds with Link, McKay and Cooper couldn't make it happen this year. Something had to change.

If Link has gone with this, it shows the Deans era of muddled thinking is potentially well behind us.

Just a thought on the To'omua rumour - don't forget that Link loves his mind games. It may be a ploy to encourage preparation for Matt instead of Quade. Either way, I suspect he will have a genius plan to use all the ability he has at his disposal.

Saturday can't come quick enough!

To'omua's lower touch rate is also indicative of White's game plan at the Brumbies. I'd expect him to see more of the ball for the Wallabies, although I agree that we are likely to see a tighter game than if Quade were selected.

If the rumours are true (To'omua to start with QC (Quade Cooper) on the bench), it is a little worrying that we are looking to pick 2 specialist 10's in our 23. Especially with Link's propensity to pick a 6/2 bench. That means our two back reserves will be a 9 and a 10.

You would imagine that JOC (James O'Connor) will need to be on one wing as utility cover. The Honey Badger would need to be the other wing to cover outside centre, which means we can't carry both Mogg and Folau.
Folau won't be dropped so that leaves a back three of JOC (James O'Connor), Cummins and Folau, none of which are notable 'good' kickers. This to me is a tad worrying as against the AB's you don't want to gift them free ball from dodgy kicks, nor do you want to spend a hell of a lot of time in your own half.

A 5/3 bench would solve a lot of issues, but it shouldn't be at the expense of our forward packs effectiveness.
I have a feeling and I hope that I am right though that Link will be able to come up with a cunning plan.

I need to say though, that I am BIG KEV EXCITED TOO!!! We could have lost the last 100 Bledisloe's but the week leading up to game one will always have me full of blind optimism and jumping out of my skin!!! I really like Links talk leading up to this one.

RD had in the past talked up the AB's like they were some kind of invincible force and how we weren't quite as good but we'll give it a go. Fuck that.

Link's been saying that it's just 15 blokes. The same blokes we've been beating all season.
Remove the freakin black aura around them.

No mystique, no fucking enigma.
Get out there and play good smart Rugby and beat them
See a black jersey, don't hesitate, don't be mesmerised, don't even respect it, fucking smack it.
