If your going to write a reply ... Write the full story and facts and compare 16 age players... who else did AIC 1 loose too??? How many of these players are under 16 ??? Reply with facts I didn't say anything about the level of rep players from each comp... When did AIC finish ??? How do selectors compare players from a comp finished and players not playing to players currently playing?? Impossible ... Need a better system??? And happy to see BBC, NC or TSS first xv or as a matter if fact their under 16 teams take on any team from AIC ... Wonder why Ashgrove, Iona don't play TSS and NC anymore in trials for the last three or so years ... Ashgrove didn't win a game against Nudgee in 3 years ... But since you want to compare comps I thought you might want to be educated... Also did one if your do called AIC reps play in the GPS comp before getting expelled from a GPS college??? Facts fact and done

You questioned if AIC players get a 'leg up'. I simply said that the gap between the competitions is closing and that you shouldn't be surprised to see that number of AIC boys selected. If you look at the Schoolboy Trials forum, you'd see that a number of people agree with me.
I think we will agree to disagree... How do you think Iona would go against a NC firsts or TSS firsts this year ... How far did Iona win by this year... ??? And you think the comps would be even ... How many are in the AIC teams and u 16 ??? Lets move on...

This years Iona team would definitely beat BSHS, IGS, TGS and Grammar. I reckon they would be on par with BBC and Terrace. TSS, Churchie and Nudgee would probably get the better of them but the games would be competitive. Ashgrove 1sts played Downlands (who seem to have been competitive this season against most GPS teams) in a half early in the year and led 17-8 before playing their seconds in the second half and eventually losing. They lost 3 games this season.

Yes, khaele Bowen is Joshua Bowen's cousin. Amazing aboriginal talent streaming through the family line. Both resemble a young Mathew "mango" Bowen.

And how good was Josh on Saturday? a big bounce back from GT the week prior - our comp would be all the poorer without the likes of him playing such entertaining football - all skill, speed, swerve and sizzle - thank goodness for scholarships - lets hope he returns to Union after his pending stint in league.

Without a doubt! They look very poor against BBC and TGS. There only good games were against BSHS and IGS and both of those teams have had average seasons themselves

Good call mr oracle. Playing fullback all last year (7 ties) and twice this year I do not recall him kicking except for his own chip and chase. He always runs it back . Bit like Campese- 5 good things a match and 2 errors but all excitement. But the best thing is that like Dane Gagai before him( now at Newcastle knights) BBC has turned him into a real leader and role model for indigenous boys.PS his brother starts in grade 8 at BBC next year.

Watched Josh get flung over sideline sat and on his return to play took a moment to pat a few BBC young kids in uniform on the back who thought that was very cool - I heard one of the parents say how good a young man Josh is and highly regarded by all at the school - in a very positive way these kids at our schools have a very special impact that all should acknowledge.

Good call . A lot of these posters clearly do not know that many many indigenous boys at boarding schools are jointly funded by mining companies and the Cmwth Govt. I personally know of dozens of examples where these boys after school give back to their communities. The Will Genia foundation in PNG is but one example that sent a missionary 's son from the Chimbou mountain area to BBC and he now plays in the undefeated BBC. 15A team.

The call him the pied piper because all the young boarders follow him around. I wish him well at the Broncos. In all the fanfare about the tries on Saturday - no one has mentioned his goal kicking. that 1st penalty was right on halfway was it not ??
