belly said he'd get me a jersey one day, then I'd have to ditch my woodies allegiances ;-)

as for now, born and bred there and can't drop that that easily.

(still remember when Hillview rugby kept trying to convince me to play rugby when I was playing soccer as a lad and going to St Kevins Eastwood)

My first trip to Merrylands on Saturday, perfect day for it and the rugby on show was decent especially the 2's game.
Thought it looked like the first game of the season for some of the players and combinations but a very enjoyable day.
Got a season pass so hopefully you can rectify the running out of beer situation for the next time I visit;)

For those who missed it, the special one off Harmony Day strip.

Great write up, not sure about Treweek comment though. I think it was a ballsy move taking the jump. Woodhouse is back shortly and 15 will have even more depth.
Outside backs as well with Yarrington returning on the weekend. I think Treweeks move may have been to lift him as well.
You guys will push a few teams this year, hard work over the past seasons is coming together - proof that hard work pays off and complaining gets you know where

Yeah, Manly are a bit light on for quality fullbacks!! ;)

And they all play great attacking rugby, the club over a number of years has built the village culture from the juniors write through to first grade. The depth is rights through to the colts and younger.

From what I hear your Colts were very lucky to get away with a win and no red card on Saturday.

Can't comment on games i didn't see. Only seen a one sided albeit very detailed write up which included a self proclaimed whinge;) (thats allowed). Score board reflected close games but we took the bacon and ate it in all 8 games.

From what I heard both 1's & 2's very lucky to get the win.
Parra very lucky to finish with as many players as they did.
Dave, where did you see the write up of the Colt's games?

The Two Blues are auctioning the special orange jerseys worn in the match against Manly to mark Harmony Day. Details here. All proceeds to be ploughed into Parra's Kick Racism Into Touch program. As Thommo noted in his match report, they do look great!

Well, there's an unusual expression!

But, fair call - Manly have been setting high standards throughout their grade and colts teams for a few seasons now and I would love for Parra to consistently match those standards. Maybe then we'll get to eat the bacon!
