I think McCabes lack of experience at 13 works against him. I don't think I can recall him ever playing there. Which is strange given his skill-set, you think 13 would be his best position but he has always played 12 or previously wing.
So you would have to say Kuridrani, Lilo and Coleman are lucky to hold their positions. for me its really a 50/50 call for with McCabe for each position.

Hope Lealifano finds some form.

Totally agree on why McCabe is on the bench. I think you could also add that he's had an impact from there each time he's been introduced. That would be comforting for the coach, to have an ace up his sleeve.

If you think its a good idea to have one of your best backs play 20 just so he can come on anywhere in the backline, you're dreaming. The correct solution is to play the best team and if injuries occur, rejig the backline as required.

Back in the day when the Dingo was stuffing up our test team, I wrote that McCabe's best position was 13 not 12. I was not alone in this, many were making exactly the same call, so I'm not claiming bragging rights.

Not many backs at the Brums are playing better than McCabe ATM. In form players should always picked in the starting team.

Need not to remind people of the 2011 brumbies, when reputations were a key element of player selection.

All the best to the Brumbies in Bloemfontein today this is a crucial game and they will need to be at their best to make sure of the points.
I think this team is well removed from the 2011 squad and no matter who starts it will be a squad effort which brings success as has been the case for most of the year. The quality of a teams bench has been the real difference in what is a very tight competition.
