<This post has been edited by Mod> I was confused with some of the refereeing calls today between GT and BSHS. I thought that BSHS played well and can hold their heads high even though they did not win the game.

Just watched the second half of ACGS v BGS. What a massacre...

Couldn't help but feel that the ref was impartial to BGS but that was hardly surprising. They needed all the help they could get. Highly doubt that the scoreboard clock was wrong, rather the ref was enforcing the mercy call (of which I am not a fan, euthanasia comes to mind ).

BGS #10 looked the best for their side. Felt that the Light Dark Blue were unlucky to not nab some points considering the amount of time they spent camped in the opposition 22. However, Ponga tore them to shreds...

I thought that maybe this game would play out closer than people thought.I've seen scorelines between the top and bottom table placers be quite close but ACGS truly are a class above the rest. Kudos to them.

Also chuckled a bit at some of the referee's banter :p

King, will there be a match report for this 16C game?

Depends if the memories are still too painful.. I'll probably include a little of it in the 1st XV write up.

Watching that 12:10 bit from Ponga you highlighted, was that footage at a normal frame rate? It looked like it had been sped up a touch. The grammar defence looked like it was going in slow motion in contrast!

Congratulations to NC under 14 a ans BSHS u15 who won premierships on the week . Come in BBC LAST ROUND COME on

I hear IGS are only putting out A teams this Saturday . Very disappointing for the 2 nds to 5 this to finish that way. Also 12b s of BBC are undefeated and will be disappointed.

Any other premiership match ups this Saturday other than the undefeated 13As at BBC v IGS ?

Interesting this decision around the whole term 3 and calendar sporting program.... Teams playing in the holidays on Fridays ... Rep interruptions to under 15 in term 3 larger supp draw and teams playing mismatches in the supp draw ...wonderful social justice program that impact on teams and rightly take preference....... LASTEST Rumours of rugby going to year levels so students can play with peers...whilst I do agree term 3 is better for the GPS calendar... The next GPS RUGBY SPORTSMANS decision could have massive ramifications for the sport... I personal know of students who are in year 9 but currently play U15 rugby A's who are 85-90kgs.... These players will be able to play down under this format, meaning they are able to play year 10 rugby with the current 14 year old players... WOW.....these players will be 16 months older ...do parents all of a sudden say ... I'm going back to club it's a longer season and my son isn't playing against players that have both a physical and maturity advantage ...INTERESTING TIMES....

Interesting just got off the phone to my my NC golf playing partner and the much talked about NC U14 team have 5 regular A players that can stay down and 3 sometimes A players that can also play down in the year 9 team again next year...

Very much doubt that this would happen, not just the age difference issues but they have just changed it the other way and any move like this takes an enormous amount to get the headmasters assoc to agree on anything.
On another matter did anyone read david Penberthy in the CM today-gee does he have a lot to learn !
