A few years ago guys on this forum were talking about Schatz hitting his ceiling fairly early on. I think he gave the illusion of improvement in 2014 due to the fact he was working hard on a losing team. I can definitely see him falling out of the 23 this year though with Thomson, Browning, Fakaoselia and Tui breathing down his neck.

Brisbane boy. 25 years old according to Google. Has trained with the Brumbies but don't think he ever got a spot. Has been playing in NZ for Northland was apparently in the Blues WTS. Excellent in the lineout and decent ball runner. Quite mobile for his size (200cm & 112kg).

I've been impressed with his form in the ITM Cup and quite a few folk have mentioned him over the last 6 months as a solution to our lack of lock depth. Thumbs up from this guy.

It'll be interesting to see what impact the weather has on this game. If as much rain comes through as predicted we could be looking at a very mushy Suncorp

The weather is a real downer from a Reds point of view. They would have got a really good crowd to this fixture and would have been able to ride the crowd support. I think the forecast will scare a lot of people off and that will temper the home ground advantage somewhat. A real shame, because there is nothing better than a dry-weather game at Suncorp

If it's raining it could be a dour game...

Suncorp's pitch is in a poor state at the moment, plenty of areas with little grass or poor root systems... Just watch the AFC to see how bad it was..
Scrum collapses will be inevitable in this game.
