The new Wallaby jersey

Now I am not Australian so my opinion doesn't count since no one wearing that will be representing me or my country..... But that is an abomination! WTF is with the sleeve thingy? That's as bad as our (England's) 2007 effort!

I kinda thought that too, but a lighter alternative to a light yellow? Kinda like Scotland going for a dark alternative to Navy isn't it?

That's what I would have thought. Surely we only have to wear an alternate if we play another team in yellow - Romania or Brazil (can't think of any others - even Spain wear red)

If the pineapple cruiser vomit line takes off enough, will it be enough to shelve this monstrosity because of bad publicity.

The only people who will ever wear this thing is the players.......and the poor victims for some yet unknown natural disaster where the world airlifts in donated clothes and supplies.

They could be one and the same following this World Cup.........

While it's not the jersey that I would have designed, I don't think it's as bad as people are making out. It's pretty much a standard 21st century jersey.

It should also be noted that most Australian sporting teams use the lighter shade of yellow rather than the darker gold colour. Rugby in the late 80s/early 90s is pretty much the only example of the dark gold that I could find.

I also think people hold onto that golden orange jersey nostalgia because it comes from a time when the Wallabies were at their peak.....

Nah, it looked decent, it respected it's heritage, it looked like an actual rugby jersey and it definitely wasn't a canary yellow soccer shirt designed to be replaced every year to promote sales

I once briefly wore one of those one night about 15 years ago at a party in the wee small hours, albeit from the early 50s - same colours, wool - would have been bloody heavy in a rainy game! But a serious bit of kit. It's a long story...

Were you wearing pants? And did you have to call them "Sir"?

Without the crap on the shoulder it's fine. It's bearable and by the time they actually start playing in it no-one will even comment on it. If it bothers people that much just watch the halves where the Wallabies are running from right to left!

as a supporter, you want the jersey to look with jeans. At least i do. been a few in the last 20 years that fail the test.
