I think they are a good outfit depending on the injury list come Friday. They were touted in the top 3 at the beginning of the season and I firmly believe they are, they have just had a run of bad luck with injuries, much the same as NC.

What has happened to BGS over the last few years? They have been on a down hill side ever since they won the premiership a few years ago.
TGS ran over the top of them on the weekend and was a little embarrasing

Don't take TGS for chumps. Good side.

But you are 100%, BGS are transitioning from a couple years of mediocrity to a brighter future. They got slack in 2013 as a program after a good year in 2012, and didn't look to strengthen age groups through coaching like they are now. They have now payed with a few poor years, but I have no doubt the will compete soon enough.

Have recruited some great coaches and the dividends will pay soon enough.

Hear some whispers they might be getting on a big player recruiting spree soon?

I am sure the 'Northgate Massacre' 'V GT earlier in the year will be the turning point for BGS rugby - I am sure a collective 'never again' could be heard echoing around Northgate that day.

BGS are a long way from turning the ship around. They can and will do it but it is years rather than months. I watched their 16A's warm up and they were a solid looking side. When it came to the game they had little to offer so me thinks they need a program to get the best out what they have even before considering scholarships. They will do it with Mooney but a few dry gully's before they drink success I would think.

Some observations from GT v IGS game on the weekend. IGS have an enormous forward pack but are hugely unfit. Run them ragged in the first 20 and they struggle to have an impact. The number four is a beast but after twenty minutes GT were playing against seven forwards. Move them laterally and you can smoke 'em. Obviously coaches have worked them out.

Update:
TSS's Half Back (aus schools) and 7 (aus baba's) are not available for this weekends game vs nudgee due to injury

at the risk of being abused by Bear I can confirm that info for tipping is that for BBC -9 T raroren , 2 Farrell ( qld 2) 14 ,simpson (qld2) are officially out for season.12 Seabrook is out again this weekend as is under 16 player that replaced him last week.

i dont think they know yet.I dont think they know if Veravis is playing either.
it surely will not be Ikatu - he is a shadow of the player bashing people at the nationals -and he moves to wing in defence . IMO he is not 100%

too much rugby i think

What is the GT seconds side like? if their first team forward pack is unfit is their seconds pack even worse?
