One of his former coaches said he is Toutai Kefu like. I like that!

Puts Lolo under pressure I reckon.

Great news, i posted the below comment in 2014 so i hope i haven't sung his praises too highly, but i was disappointed when the Broncos signed him and glad to have him back in rugby union. Probably won't see his true value until 2017, but i expect him to eventually play a similar role to how Tui is currently playing.

The Reds should keep an eye out for Caleb Timu, he was an absolute standout at Schoolboys level and was the starting 8 for Australian schoolboys in a team which featured Browning and McMahon, he was signed by the Broncos following school and earned praise as one of the most promising forwards in the system.. He started on a mormon mission at the end of last year so isn't likely to be available for 2015, but as an 18yr old he was 190cm and 108kg with a farm similar to that of Cliffy Palu.

I believe his mormon mission is due to continue for another 12months, but i'd hope the Reds are keeping an eye on him.

So glad we are training him as an 8, and not as a 13 as originally reported.
Could be a pivotal signing in a few years time. God its good to have Brad Thorn involved.

As a side note, my mate ran into Karmichael at the barber a week or so ago. He said he should have stayed at the Suns, and that the Reds are a mess. Hope we are turning the corner.

From today's payto and panda:

word on the street is that the Reds are talking up their chances of luring Sean McMahon back to Queensland for 2018.

If your mate is truthful then I say in respect of Hunt:

Ungrateful prick I reckon.

I said at the time he should have been run out of Ballymore after his cocaine scandal. There is no doubt in my mind he helped and contributed to the "mess"

I thought the bloke had turned the corner and played very well last week. The bloke obviously still has issues.

Looks like people will get there wish and we'll have a new starting no 8. Presumably Browning.

Given there are no back up flankers on tour, I wonder if they'll bring someone over, or use the spare lock as cover. I'm trying to think which backrower is fit and who would be next cab off the rank.

There's a few options to fly over I guess. Waite Setu, Michael Gunn, Conor Mitchell or Jack de Guingand.

You'd think they'd have to fly so one over don't you?

With Simmons fit and starting again this week they might just go with a bench of Tui and Matwijow.. Not ideal though

I'm sure Matwijow could play 6 or 8 if required. Seems to have the pace to play there. Another Jordan Smiler type of player - lock, 6 or 8.
