I'm enjoying the 10's.

Looking forward to the womens exhibition game NSW v QLD.

My seahorse team mates Kate Gilbert, Mel Howard, & Sarah Halvorsen are playing. I would have posted the whole NSW squad but I cant seem to find it.

Go NSW!

The journo wrote wrote Tomikin's article has an NRL background and is probably a bit biased. SMH are obvious going to try to put a positive spin on things. Lord knows Duco could have done a better job in many aspects of this competition but I'd be skeptical about the different media reporting.

Yeah - that's not journalism, that's propaganda. Whenever they've shown the side that people are sitting on they seem to be have a ball.

Worst performance of the comes from the home side.

I am worried now, their game plan and defensive pattern ran counter to everything we saw as a success earlier. Does anyone in their coaching staff have half a brain? :(

That was a performance straight out of the RG top drawer.

Most of the Reds side did vs the Crusaders, that was a disgrace.

Don't they want the 9s moved to Brisbane, surely the NRL wouldn't use the media to talk down the 10s and try and get it canned..........

Yeah that was pretty concerning from the Reds. Exactly the same issues as last season, they never even looked like scoring. It was a long way from a full strength team but then so were the Crusaders.

All in all I haven't seen much from the Aussie teams today to give much hope that 2017 will be any more even than 2016 vs the Kiwi teams.

Correct me if I'm wrong - but I don't think any of Hunt, Kerevi, Slipper, Talaki, Simmons, Neville or Nabuli took the field in that game. If you add in guys like Frisby, Cooper, Douglas, Moore, Smith, Tui & Higgers that team bears next to no resemblance to our full strength side.

It's not that I don't have concerns - but that really bears no resemblance to our best 23.

It's a bit disappointing thought that we appeared happy to concede that game.

Yeah - I think the intent of that article was pretty much to support that exact change.

We know, that was not the starting team come Super season - but that Crusaders team bears just as little resemblance to their best 23 and they thoroughly towelled the Reds. Anyway the issue is not about the players, it's about the mentality and the skills on display which looked worryingly similar to last year's Reds.

Agree that it seems Stiles used this game to try out his new/fringe players rather than any genuine attempt to win. It'll be interesting to see whether he goes back to Kerevi, Hunt etc for the last game. With the Blues losing to Samoa, Reds could still get through if they beat Samoa tomorrow. Wouldn't want to be relying on points differential though...

The day's winding to a close now - most of the crowd left after the canes v clan game (says something about the makeup here today in queeNZland)

Has been a cracker of a day though, I think there'll be plenty of us struggling to back up again tomorrow though....
