Stephenson mentioned the other day that 80% of the list was sorted. They will probably drip-feed the signing news rather than make a big announcement.

I doubt there will be much news about players not re-signed until after the situation with the Force is sorted.
Yes, they will definitely drip-feed the news to make it last longer.

And thank you for correct use of the hyphen in "re-sign" (makes a big difference!).

McGahan is goorrrrrrn next season.

I don't think it's fair to ever celebrate someone losing their job, but he was not a good fit for the club. No public profile, a hard-man approach that obviously didn't click, a tin ear for selections and an all round vibe of running a 'my way of the highway' type organisation.

Hopefully he finds a team better suited to his style and continues his development.

In the mean time, who gets the reigns in 2018?

Morgan (backs) - with Wessels (head/defence) and Bakarat (forwards) to come in to join him.

That would be a good combo

I hope Laurie Fisher, his the sort of coach the Melbourne fans need. As long as he can get the right support team as well

I doubt we will know the situation with Wessels until well after the point you'd need a 2018 HC.

Plus, the Rebels have some good quality assistant coaches.

Not surprised or particularly saddened.

Tony really added nothing to our strategy or style of play. For an allegedly defensively-minded coach, that was disappointing.

Don't forget we also had Muggleton on the books for a couple of years and he was supposed to be a "defensive guru" as well. Maybe we just have players who are poor tacklers in the squad?

I'm not sorry to see TT go, I think we need a new approach as our gameplan clearly hasn't been working.

Definitely, good sign of some leadership hopefully creeping in. Keep in the news, keep the fans engaged and try and remain relevant during the down periods. AFL marketing 101

Matt Taylor anyone? In Australia with Scotland, TT announced this week. No Taylor announcement till after the Scots finish their test, presented to media after Scots tour! Superb record everywhere he's been.

He was considered for the Reds, no?
