Its interesting this though, as I heard a rumour that the Epping #9 and Epping Hooker werent seen at training last night... Coach did not look too happy at all, probably thankful its a no Rugby weekend.

Wouldnt be the worse decision for either player to be honest. Lane Cove has the highest density of any suburb in Sydney. Lots of opportunity for recruitment, sponsorship and supporters. Plus I have found myself at Lane Cove bowling club on a few occasions, not the worst place for a schooner.

Imagine the dust bowl from Richie's chopper landing on Tantallon!!!

It's the best field in subbies..... hope the chopper doesn't sink in the wet cricket pitch...

Maybe he should play for Redfield. At least he could land on the Astro cricket pitch that lies uncovered on their playing surface

Why don't we all just got over the Lane Cove, sounds like the place to be.... And while we are it lets get Lane Cove in the Shute Shield, their ground is "better than half the Shute Shield Grounds" and they 2 Grade and 2 Colts teams

It Just needs to happen isn't that right Bundaddy!

Inspired by Bundaddy.... what are the best and worst subbies grounds to play on?

I hate fields with turf wickets jutting into the field.... just horrible... that being said, I have played on KOBs White oval and that was luscious

Lads, you'll probably never play there, but our oval is easily the shittiest ground in the comp.

And I include any of the four we've played on in the last decade.

BOBS oval sucks. Looks good but you are guaranteed losing 2kg of skin from the cricket pitch in the middle.

Something I need to get off my chest.

It is a tragedy in the highest degree that clubs can no longer reward their players financially to play the game they love in our competition.

We all know it happens still. I have seen players this year get 200 dollars to play a game, 400 to another and the other a Jet Ski + insurance. However it penalises the clubs who abide by the law.

Why should a team like Balmain who are run well get robbed of the chance to bring in players like Giteau or Sam Cordingley or past examples like Ryan Cross because other clubs are ran by losers and cant turn a profit to save their life? Or are so tightass they cant open the wallet to attract the best talent to their clubs?

Surely we want the best available players playing subbies, regardless of who they play for?

Fans would be more inclined to watch more than than just the ones their team are playing in, because the standard would be better and product more attractive.
This would attract more fans, interests, sponsors and tv ratings. Whereas right now teams like Balmain are being dragged downd and pandering to the bottom of the barrel loser teams that cant fork out 10k or so for a gun hooker.

Change is needed.
