After watching Aussie rugby this weekend i was reading the news about Trump and the G20 and I am wondering if I am the only one seeing similarities between Trump and the republicians and Pulver and the ARU?

In general terms it 2 leaders who are out of their depth, in denial, no clue what they are doing, out of touch, unpopular, everything they do the constituents either oppose or resit (including using the courts to do so), they contradict themselves.....the list goes on. Behind them are parties who are so desperate to cling to power they continually tolerate, defend and support a clown as there leader even though publicly they know they are overwhelming unpopular and there are question over the mental competence of there anointed leader; even from with in its own rank.

No one can see a good outcome or ending.

Its actually funny to compare the pair; and very scary at the same time.

Unless there is serious reform at the very top of our rugby system, nothing meaningful will change and from which state we are headed into disaster.

I already feel we are there for the professional game....sponsors and fans leaving in droves....good luck funding super rugby teams period at this rate whether it be 1,4 or 5. If we are going to persist with a flawed Super Rugby competition I feel we will need to cut more than 1 team. We need a new model but would we want to rely on the ARU to deliver that!!!! Nope....

Then we have SA looking to Pro 12 for two teams cut which means SA starting to look to Europe then SANZAAR. NZ not interested in a Trans Tasman competition they say. Well if Saffa's bugger of to Europe who else does that leave....

It looks like Super Rugby is going to limp to end of current broadcast deal but at what cost. Hopefully the NZRU are working out a new Trans Tasman competition that want to involve OZ teams....as would be much more confident of them designing something more sustainable and workable than the ARU.

The flaw in your argument is that President Trump has been very successful. He destroyed Hilary who was said by everyone to be unbeatable; has brought the once-great CNN to its biased knees; changed the game on the press warfare against Republicans; appointed the first conservative to the Supreme Court in ages; is re-invigorating manufacturing industry and consequent jobs for Americans; has been the first world leader to speak out against the CAGW scam; and is in the process of resurrecting pride in American exceptionalism.
To summarise - Trump is winning, Pulver is not.
