He ran over Crotty and Barrett at least twice. There are legitimate criticisms of Folau but his ball running probably isn't the place to start.

Definitely not. His game in the air and with the ball is almost peerless PROVIDED:

1) You don't ask him to kick
2) You don't ask him to pass
3) You don't ask him to offload from the deck like he stupidly fucking did straight to Aaron Smith when we were hot on attack.

I think all those shots of Cheika in the box he was saying "what play is this.....what fucking page of the playbook are we on"

Two separate incidences right? He made a massive full frontal hit on SBW and then a few minutes later the strip which was a JV front on with foley.

No, the one i meant was when he did both in the one tackle on SBW. Stopped him with a ball and all front on tackle and stripped the ball almost in the same movement.

On Retallick.

There is absolute liability issued against any player in the field of play against anything that may cause head injury. particularly when you jump for the ball. Is the absolute liability subject to circumstance (not absolute) or is he required to be sent.

Apply the fucking laws or get the fuck out of your role.

Sounds like he's best suited to the wing.

Absolutely. How many players actually go into a tackle contest actively trying to spear tackle the opposition? Cards are given because the tackle went wrong regardless of whether a player intended to make a spear tackle. That's before we even argue whether there was malicious intent from Retallick which one angle suggested there was.

I just wish Chekia would stay in his seat, stop the arm waving and dramatic outrage and just show a bit of class. A shave wouldn't go astray either.

He had been on death row all week; give him a break. He needed a shave last week but now it looks like a beard.
Would you have let him off if they had won?

A great game to watch....IMHO....Moore and Foley have to go. Everyone else at least did their job or better. SBW had a shocker.
BUT....as promised, and much needed, here's "Bernard's Foleys"......the Good and the Bad

1st min Folou try...Foley no try involvement, but misses wide conversion.

6th min. Noticed Beale has the in goal clearing duty....be interesting if that continues( so we don't get our typical charge downs)

8th min. Foley throws garbage wide pass at Beales feet.....lucky we had advantage....as the ABs would have scored.... (Commentators called it an "extravagant" move from Foley knowing there was Adv....LOL....it was a simple wide pass......that SUCKED)

10th min. Foleys timing of a questionable highball to Folou ends well with Aus line out. (Great idea, poor execution/timing)

11th min Foley kicks easy Hooper try conv.

13th min Foley kicks good attacking highball for DHP to contest out wide.

14th min. Foley Great TRY backing up of Genia Superb linebreak.....Foley misses try conversion..... Foley now 1 from 3 conv

18th min. Foley gets lucky with his clearing kick, touched and almost charged down.:0

24th min. Foley plays adv well and kicks across field...

27th min. Foley throws a terrible cut out pass (which despite the tackle of Folau, was NOT in Folou reach.) VERY lucky another run away try wasn't awarded, same as in the 8th min after a shocking cut out pass!

29th min. Foley misses another easy conv....1 from 4

36th min. Foley slips over when Barret Chips thru the line and is the last one back in the scrambling defensive line. (nothing major but slipping/tripping ALOT of recent)

41st min. Foley throws a forward pass to Speight.

42nd min. Foley flicks on a no look ball to his outside that goes to ground with no chance of an overlap or a move on the outside. Unnecessary stupid pressuring pass, luckily mopped up.

48th min. Foley pops good inside ball to Kuridrani

50th min. Foley totally misses one on one tackle...

So far Beale been getting the clearing kick duties!

55th min. Foley helps Beale make a good tackle turnover on SBW.

56th min. Foley poor clearance kick :/

67th min. Foley conversion MISSES AGaIN!!!! :0

76th min. Foley converts Beale try from in front....:)

78th min. Foley SLIPS over again helping let a linebreak thru for the match winning try......(bit of a stretch but hey.....he did slip over on D therefore unable to cover his inside).

Soooo it seems Foley doesn't really get involved with Wallaby tries, hasn't all year....unless he's the one scoring. No try involvements at all bar his 14th min try. And as usual guys this was an analysis of Foley....not the Wallabies, win or loose.

So far IMHO...if your still defending Foley, your deadset a TROLL. ANYONE including the likes of Will Skelton, Cheika himself and Quade Cooper.... all perfect candidates for improvement at 10!

So would seriously anybody be calling for coaching changes after that performance.

I was absolutely against Cheika being removed, and larkham being removed imo was not in question, but I would admit was on the grey should be removed.

After that performance I don't think anybody of sane mind would be suggesting a change in coaches..

I won't speak for everyone else, I never wanted Cheika gone because I think he can become a very good Wallaby coach, but that doesn't mean I won't criticise his selections or game plans.

Someone on this forum suggested last weeks display was a reflection of the current squads ability, that's the kind of thing which annoyed me, because I knew this weeks performance was a much more accurate representation of what this squad was capable of.

My frustration was due to a noticeable trend in the Wallabies defence which had been apparent for the past 12 months, and then hiring Grey full time, after similar trends with the Waratahs. But... it's good to see that he may be willing to adapt, if Grey continues to adapt and evolve he may become a very good coach

Based on the overhead view that was a red card every day of the week. The refusal to issue it reflects on the TMO more than Owens. There are two things you cannot accept from referees. Lack of competency or corruption. You choose?? It has to be one.

When you see Beale put in an absolute world class performance like that it is a little hard not to question where it is week in and week out. He showed the talent he has tonight so let's see it more consistently now please!

He was easily best back last week too. Maybe the year in the NH has been his calling

Amazing what year under competent coaching as well as being played in his preferred and better suited 15 position. Last week may have been rust and positional adjustments. This week we saw what he really has until Aussie rugby again sucks the life, skills and confidence out of him.

Ref claims retallick as just getting up off the ground and not tackling anyone. But he did force him over ninety degrees onto his head so yeah that's a red card.

Intense match.

Anyone got a link or a GIF for the Retallick/Hanigan thingy? The stream I was watching had shit resolution and the wide shot was useless.

Biggest fuck-up by the ref was awarding Retallick a try, pointing at the ball (or where he thought it might be) and then later saying he didn't see a grounding and the whistling was for a penalty. Embarassing and cowardly cop-out.
