    QLD GPS Rugby 2014

Should be an interesting day at GT if the IGS lads continue the form from last weekends game v TSS. The heavy track will favour the Red & White pack and the GT inside backs will not be given an inch by Page, Hammond & Co. IGS by 9 in an arm wrestle

Selection politics and bias, Gold Squads unfairness etc.

Still hearing plenty whispers on some major changes the ARU program. From what I understand there will coaches appointed at Zone level for the U15 & U17 to compete in a National style competition and my Secret Squirrel had indicated it is all officially "unofficial". Will this now see the demise...

RM, being stuck up here near the Qld border over recent years doesn't allow me the opportunity to watch you or Jr live your dream and must admit you have lost me with the "disgruntled parents previously encounter" As a former NSWJRU representative in 1992 I still watch our great game with...

Sydney JRU Vs NSW Country JRU 2013

Looking forward to reading the results from tomorrow's fixtures and hopefully someone can give some brief commentary on the games for those of us unable to get to Foreshaw Park. Lets hope all players come away from the day injury free and better for the experience. With a close relative in one...

So folks in the know, what is the fate of the NGS & JGS?

Sydney JRU Vs NSW Country JRU 2013

Comparing apples with apples works when your buying cars, prams & washing machines, but pointless when comparing sporting teams. Should Robbie Deans have been judged on the results he could of had if he had Eales, Larkham, Horan & company or his success with the playing group he had? My...

    School sporting scholarships/recruitment

Oh the Rugby Mum, every Club, Zone & State has one. We should never question their motives or challenge their word, although it sounds like this one in particular maybe living the dream instead of Junior. I was never offered a scholarship my day as it was a "who you know" or "what you have" type...

Sydney JRU Vs NSW Country JRU 2013

Good summary as always HJ, I think all would agree that the majority participants accept the disappointment with grace and its a shame the minority of older folk can't do the same. One thing is for certain, it will be a cracking day of Junior Rugby

Sydney JRU Vs NSW Country JRU 2013

The Bush Telegraph is alive with talk of big expectations from the Country Teams against the City Slickers this year, in particular the 16's & 17's sides. I believe the U16 team has many of the players that won 2 years ago as 14 year olds and the 17's outclassed Gordon in their first hit out and...

Best leave it to the experts then! I would be surprised if the ARU kicked it to the kerb, although I read about a Junior Gold Cup recently which aroused my inquisitive nature

Thanks for clearing that up IS, most of the kids get their information from social media these days be it fact or fiction!

Sorry for butting in folks, long time reader first time writer. Just had a question about the NGS & JGS and what are the options now for 15 & 16 year old boys that may have some potential? The academies have lured a few handy young league players which I thought was good for the code?
