BW I have no doubt your right, just wanted to put it out there for those who weren't aware. As we all know its a lot easier playing football behind a pack that are dominating. TBH I don't rate QC (Quade Cooper) anywhere near as highly as plenty of others do, great at times but his best and worst are miles...

Samson Totally agree with you 100% in relation to the late developers catching up. These big boppers generally dominate from about 13's-16's. Once the other boys catch up they usually overtake due to their work ethic which the others lack as they have had it so easy for years.........The...

B&G 100% correct about PC being at GT for a number of years now. He is actually in the Melbourne Storm elite development squad. On top of all that he is also one of the nicest and most respectful young men I've had the privilege of knowing.

Very surprised no one has made a point of mentioning exactly who the 15 for BSHS 13A's is... If what Im told is correct its QC (Quade Cooper) brother, that being said its a little wonder people are already rating him...

GSP In relation to the comp being stronger in NSW than Qld I can pretty well assure you there are a lot less leaguies playing in the GPS system in NSW compared to Qld. There are loads of schools probably more in numbers than the GPS system who have RL excellence programs and are linked to NRL...

Realdeal Fair enough I just hope for BBC's sake then they get BSHS late in the season. I'd be very surprised if some of these boys ever in their football lives have been hit as hard as they will against BSHS. And no I'm not a parent from BSHS, just an observer who doesn't favour any school but...

Readeal I watched BBC play Churchie, BBC won 6-3 with Churchies best 15 winning the 3rd 1/4 3-0. I will gladly give BBC 30 start and still feel confident BSHS better that by 20 points.

BSHS u/13 A's will better the average winning Scoreline then Churchie's 1st XV 2014. Watching them is like men playing boys.

They got absolutely smacked by BSHS

B&W It is only a one off game so wont cause too much extra workload for Sua. For those interested in following up and coming players, follow the number 8 in the side. The kid goes good and has plenty of grunt, already made his NYC debut with the Broncos as well.

B&W Not 100% sure how true it is but I was told on Saturday that once all existing scholarships have been for filled Churchie wont be handing out anymore as HM is academic not sport. I fell over with laughter when told and then finally composed myself to ask the question "How long do you think...

The boy in question has just turned 10 believe it or not!!! Another thing I was unaware of is some jrl clubs quarantine players. Meaning if a boy wants to leave club A to go to club B, the family or club B have to pay club A a resleasing fee.Ive heard figures up to $3k pending on ability.This...

I'm very confident in saying its largely due to "Free school fees" just quietly.. Don't know a great deal of others at present but Churchies captain from last years brother will be in the mix. Said to be a better player but I haven't seen him myself. Broke his jaw in last CC Cup game this year...

There is only 2 currently playing NYC, 1 at the Storm & Sua. Sua has been a leaguie all his life, played juniors at Logan Brothers. Once GPS union starts he wont be playing NYC, after union he will go back to the Broncos.

Absolutely, and it will remain part of the game in the future irrelevant of what people think. I was fortunate enough to know most of the boys your talking about from last year, and for me personally seeing those guys develop over the last 4 years has been a privilege. TBH I will watch a 1st XV...

Warrenwobble the point I'm trying to make is that GPS schools chase the league boys. My comment in relation to BSHS was just an example that I know of first hand.

Gary, 100% correct about schools bringing in leagues. Said this all last year but appeared to fall on deaf ears..... The most common comment was "Why are these boys choosing league over Union" Answer : These boys have been bought in with a league background What group of scouts are most common...

Yes Mason & Croft both played rep league. What would surprise many is that Croft is a #7 in league yet #14 in union.Could very well end up being the #10 for Churchie next year. Both boys are in the Storm elite development program

    QLD GPS Rugby 2014

To try and single out 1 players for the Churchie team this would be unfair to the rest.Yes they had some great tries but IMO the forwards did the hard yards, got great service from #9 who I didn't rare that highly last year as I thought he tried too hard,#10 had a great understanding with the...
