Best not be so pedantic .... We all know that Shore are having a v tough season ......... Scots have learnt from that season they should not "totally" blast the opposition from the park ....... this is a discussion thread ........ so a margin of 50 is still not great

Tips Scots v Shore This game 2 years ago was a margin of around 80 to Scots - thats when Shore had a far better team (including Clancy boys, Woodhill, Dowsett, Emery etc) ... this seasons Shore team has no standouts, lots of injurys (in some part due to lack of pre season training) and 1st XV...

..... and the same two 1st's coaches have looked after those past 31 matches ...... given the 2nd's have won far more matches maybe they should be looking after the First XV team .....

To improve "undisciplined play" is the responsibility of the coaches - in particular the 1st coaches who are obviously not doing a great job in mentoring or getting their point over. Could be time at the end of the season to make some changes ?

Joeys over View - should be a close game Newington over Scots - could go either way, but home advantage may count. Kings over Shore - the only realistic chance for shore to register a win, but this is their weakest team for a long time, except Doyle who is carrying them.

Although I think shore play in the true spirit of rugby I think they will really struggle this year. Last year they had some very good players (Woodhill, Dowsett, emery, king, stump, cook, Preece) this year there is very few of that quality (no immediate NSW selections) + no natural leader on...

Round 1 game 2 tips - Joeys over Scots by 14 (Joeys looking good oiled machine already) View over Shore by 10 (shore forwards are small and inexperienced + McGregor is a far more astute and respected leader) New over Kings by 7 (will be a close and competitive match, but feel New will edge it)

Tom Leaver from Joeys looked good and Tom Horton lead from the front Shore couldn't match them "power and strength"wise --- looks like a long season ahead .... missing last years cohort already, especially the passion and leadership of Woodhill
