I think Alex was selected in 2014, but ruled out due to injury?

Then they probably should change this for the Big Fellow as well:
    Representative honours: Combined States Under-20s (2014), NSW Under-20s (2015), Australian Under 20s (2015).
    to:
    Representative honours: Combined States Under-18s (2014), NSW Under-20s (2015), Australian Under 20s (2015).

It must do in some way. One of our WA boys Auega Seumanutafa was the player of tournament in the southern states but not eligible for u20s

A couple of the usual suspects names like Harley FOX, Shambeckler VUI, Tyrone SOUTHORN, James McCOLL, Jim HENJAK etc missing from the above list. Some possibly due to being parachuted into Reds (EPS or main squad), NRC squads or injuries.

Also good to see some names that are unfamiliar to the Trainspotters.

If anyone is watching NRC lists with an eye to Manchester, Perth Spirit has listed Hayden Anderson (2015 Australian 20's extended squad) and Nicholas Jooste (20's eligible for both 2016 and 2017).

Strange they went for Premier Norths Colts and Premier Souths Colts as the team names, why not loosely align the playing group with Brisbane City and Queensland Country and just make it U20 versions of those teams.

Some NRC Squads have been finalised, and include players eligible for 2016 Under 20 Championships. Probably more to come in the next week as the squads get finalised.

In the mix for 2016 (Updated)

    Incumbents from 2015 Australian Team
Lukhan LEALAIAULOTO-TUI, Randwick, NSW - now signed to Reds. 2015 Qld Country NRC (may not appear in NRC due surgery and Team Rehab).
Sione TUIPOLOTU, Southern, Vic. 2015 Melbourne Rising NRC
James TUTTLE, GPS, QLD. Reds 2016 contracted player. 2015 Qld Country NRC.
Campbell MAGNAY, GPS, QLD. Reds 2016 contracted player. 2015 Qld Country NRC.
Harry NUCIFORA, Bond University, QLD. 2015 Qld Country NRC.
Tyrel LOMAX, Tuggeranong, ACT. 2015 Canberra Vikings NRC
Team Rehab: Henry HUTCHISON, Randwick, NSW. May miss NRC due to 2015 Youth Commonwealth Games 7's representative duties.
Joey FITTOCK, Sunnybank, Qld (Injury replacement used at the Oceania U20 Tournament) - QLD Premier South Colts

There is no guarantee that the "Incumbents" will be reselected, but having found favour with the selectors this year, there is a fairly good chance that the majority of these will similarly find favour in 2016.

Additionally these young men found favour with other nations selectors in 2015, and are believed to be eligible for Australia in 2016:
Ah-mu TUIMALEALIIFANO, Harlequins, Vic, Samoa 2015
Vunipola FIFITA, Randwick, NSW, Tonga 2015
Siuta (Timote) TAI, Royals, ACT, Tonga 2015
Sam TABUATAMATA, Gordon, NSW, Fiji 2015

Others in the "Born in 1996 or earlier" cohort, with experience at National U20 Championships include:
    Qld U20 "Incumbents" from 2015
Izack RODDA - Easts, QLD. now signed to Reds. Doesn't appear in one of the 2015 QRU NRC teams due to surgery and Team Rehab conflicting with NRC schedule.
    Harley FOX - Easts, QLD
Izaia PERESE - Easts, QLD - 2015 Qld Country NRC.
    Shambeckler VUI - University, QLD
Angus SCOTT-YOUNG - University, QLD - QLD Premier North Colts
Tuaina TUALIMA - Sunnybank, QLD - QLD Premier South Colts
Alex MAFI - Bond University, QLD. (Team Rehab) - now signed to Reds. 2015 Qld Country NRC.

    Barbarians U20 "Incumbents" from 2015
    Nili FIELEA - Cottesloe, WA
    Jamie KOTZ - Gungahlin, ACT
Jordon FULIVAI - Gungahlin, ACT - Not considered for 2015 Canberra Vikings NRC due injury.
Phil BRADFORD - Wanderers, Newcastle, NSW
    Jordan JACKSON-HOPE - Tuggeranong, ACT
RJ SA'AGA - Melbourne University, VIC
    Ta HOSEA - Harlequin, VIC

    NSW U20 "Incumbents" from 2015
    Ed CRAIG, Eastwood, NSW
    Francis BROWN, Sydney University, NSW

There is no guarantee that these "incumbents" will be re-selected for their state team/Barbarians again, nor that they have the capability to step up to the National level solely because they have attended a previous National Championships, but they represent a good start point for discussions on selections.

    Wildcard (checking on eligibility)
Taniela TUPOU, Brothers, QLD - 2015 Qld Country NRC

Additional "Bolters" in 2015 NRC squads:
James WILKINSON, Gordon Shute Shield, NSW. 2015 North Harbour Rays NRC
Nicholas JOOSTE, Hale School, WA. 2015 Perth Spirit NRC
Moses SOROVI, University, QLD - 2015 Brisbane City NRC
Maclean JONES, University, QLD - 2015 Qld Country NRC WTG

Where the above all fit in a team?
    Prop:
    Taniela TUPOU
    Francis BROWN
    RJ SA'AGA
    Shambeckler VUI
    Vunipola FIFITA
    Tyrel LOMAX

    Hooker
    James WILKINSON
    Ed CRAIG
    Alex MAFI
    Siuta (Timote) TAI

    Lock
    Tuaina TUALIMA
    Angus SCOTT-YOUNG
    Izack RODDA
    Lukhan LEALAIAULOTO-TUI

    Back Row
    Ta HOSEA
    Harley FOX
    Maclean JONES

    Halfbacks
    Harry NUCIFORA
    James TUTTLE
    Moses SOROVI

    Flyhalf
    Nicholas JOOSTE
    Jordan JACKSON-HOPE

    Centres
    Izaia PERESE
    Sam TABUATAMATA
    Ah-mu TUIMALEALIIFANO
    Henry HUTCHISON
    Sione TUIPOLOTU

    Back Three
    Campbell MAGNAY
    Jordon FULIVAI
    Jamie KOTZ
    Nili FIELEA
    Joey FITTOCK

Edit: Additional NRC Players added as Squads have been announced.

    Great list HJ.

Don't forget Hayden Anderson in the back row. Should probably be listed as a Barbarians incumbent given that he played for Australia in the Oceania Rugby Junior Championship but didn't survive the JWC cut.

I don't have a birth date for him but he played in the 2013 WA Schoolboys team so should be eligible.

^^^If he was only 17 at Nationals in 2013, then he may be eligible as Under 20 in 2016.

I am not all that familiar with the WA schooling system, but I know of at least one talented player from WA who was at 2014 Nationals and left school in 2014 as a 17 year old.

Perhaps Hayden is in the same category. Usually most players at Nationals (less about 60% of the Qld crew) are already 18, so the 2013 Nationals players generally get a tilt at 2014 and 2015 Under 20's. There are always exceptions, like Sione Tuipolotu, and Henry Hutchison etc who get three goes after school. If someone can confirm that Hayden is age eligible for 2016, then I will add him to the list.

    ^^^Good point.

I was relying on the fact that up to and including 2013, year 12's in WA were (generally speaking) 16 as at 1 January. Hayden originally came from NZ so maybe he was a little older. I will see what I can find out.

Since 2014 WA leavers are in the same boat as NSW. However, there was some fudging during the first year of the new system and private schools happily accepted boys "early" if they were ready. That is why you had some 2014 boys finishing school as 17 year olds.

    **Update**

Anderson not eligible for 20's. Why do I even begin to doubt you HJ?

Strong reports after the Sunnybank and Easts semi final game was Harley Fox has played his last game in Queensland rugby? Anyone know why he wouldn't be picked in either of these teams.
Even if places like fox and vui were considered for NRC wouldn't they play like North or South like Campbell Magnay last year.

Sham Vui is an absolute beast. Harley to me has potential but is very raw. Heard they were mooving him to prop.

^^^ Harley Fox was a prop at Under16's National Championships in 2012 IIRC.

Edit: The 2012 National U16 programme says he was the Queensland Red #17 - Reserve LHP.

From what I've heard he isn't with the reds. He has moved to another SR club. He would be wasted at prop.

Interesting news. There are only 5 SR clubs in Oz. By inference it is not the Reds. If it was Ponies, Rebels or Force, it is be assumed that he would be in the Canberra Vikings, Melbourne Rising or Perth Spirit NRC teams. So far those squads have been announced and there is no H Fox in them.

Are you suggesting that he will be crossing the Tweed and playing for the Tahs?
The NSW Country Eagles, North Harbour Rays, Greater Sydney Rams NRC squads have been announced (each seem to have a couple of TBA's left to fill) with no Fox.
The wild card could be the Sydney Stars who have been very quiet to date regarding their squad, however it probably won't look too dissimilar to that which The Corporation are fielding in the Shute Shield Finals.

Would there be any likely candidates from this years schoolboy team that are 18 yrs or older in 2016 that may get a look into the wider squad? (u20's)
