The Bok embled get debated every four years in SA. When its election year.

Speaking of player depth. In the past when the Bokke looked for tall timber locks they would get them in N Tvl (Bulle). For some reason since Frik du Preez's days they seem to spit them out year after year. Well they have a brand new one in RG Snyman. In fact of Mostert (25) from the Lions chicken run to France , Etsebeth (24) will become the oldest lock in SA. If you add PS du Toit, JD Schickerling from the Stormers with Lood plus Jason Jenkings and we are well serve in the locking department for years to come.

Player number, club number, in RSA is a massive leap from what it is in Aus. NZ too. Its not always well aligned or resourced, but its so huge that it may well be possible for the Boks to counter their two biggest issues:
1. The diaspora for real wages, this trend wond slow let alone stop
2. The response (somewhat half-witted I think at times) to transformation.

African rugby is big enough to drive over both issues.

SA's biggest rugby asset is its schoolboy level. I am pretty confidence and can see this every year that the schools will phase out transformation with merits. Its the only level where there isn't qoutas : school vs school. As long as we produce players there will always be young and hungry youngsters coming through the player cycle.

That's good to hear Paarl. There is the risk of course that some of these youngsters will go elsewhere if they feel their pathway to the Bok jersey is being held up by politics.

Obvious that youngsters will go elsewhere. Most of them go to the rugby academies of the franchises for starters, more to universities to get a degree. Only 5% u19 CC players end up with a S18 contract. The others will either drop out of rugby or go the chicken runner route like most of our youngsters in all walk of life.
