GI in the Wallabies back-line would be outrageously good!!!!

Imagine him and Kuridrani together!!!!

Deary me, I won't get carried away, but you can only dare to dream!

Cooper Cronk for Foley. Inglis as a wing... Jarryd Hayne as an outside back replacement with a better tolerance to alcohol.

The list is endless. :)

I agree with you FilthRugby!

My fixation with league players started with Walter Lewis.

If you start to consider AFL players your head, like mine has, will explode.

f doesnt
and when you put it with 7.1 you finish up with the question:
what was he doing in making contact with the kicker? if he was trying to tackle him it was a charge - no arms. if he wasn't then it was still a charge
I should say that I'm not convinced about this but I think Owens is....I can't being myself to say it....right

I think the crucial thing was the high contact rather than the lateness. I think it was a penalty but not a yellow.

Depends what the ref makes of why your knees are up, how and when they come up etc. and then there's the question of the defender making contact with someone in the air and lo and behold we are back at one of Nige's more baffling efforts today.
To take this further we probably need to go to the refereeing decisions thread before cyclo explodes.
Depends what you mean by hitting - you can make contact with him if it was a tackle and not late otherwise you're touching or pushing someone who doesn't have the ball or its a "charge" - i.e. no arms

I assume that the penalty was for high contact rather than for late contact.

I was just referring to a comment from a poster that Pocock would be his first choice captain, amongst other comments that he is never cleaned out and it takes 2 players to clean him out every ruck whilst wingers just breath on hooper to clean him out.

I was agreeing with you, and just adding wait.. some times its hard to know if I should quote or just write on the thread :) all good

Screw Inglis and Hayne, we have a man who decimated the chiefs has been one of if not the best wingers wingers in super rugby coming to join us..

Get on the Speight train, he destroyed the chiefs with one of his brothers there his going to have his whole family againts the blacks at Suncorp..

Well... the next game is a loss in Brisbane against ABs. Which is the next step?

This team can recover and get some wins on European soil? Or the total destruction is comming?

:(

Fuck it, willy g and quade can have a start, why the hell not, maybe our attack will have a bit more penetration, maybe someone like godwin, inman, kerevi start at 12, could speight play? Get jones instead of schatz, more potential for the future, weeks for alexander maybe, just something that gives us more oomph

Kind of a weird scenario isn't it? "Experimentation" - but do it against the ABs!

OK I'm not as devastated as I was yesterday..several factors against us which I won't go into, everyone knows what they are..just a disappointing finish to what was (outside Eden Park) a much improved RC campaign..

onwards and upwards to Brisvegas, see you all on that thread when it starts..

PS media reports suggest that Genia will get into the 23 and QC (Quade Cooper) and Henry to join the expanded squad..

otherwise I assume Palu and/or McCalman to return along with Simmons..anyone else?

Wallabies jersey going in the drawer. I doubt whether it will come out again this year. Fuck getting up at arse o'clock to watch them get smacked about like schoolboys.

Spare a thought for me. 9 months ago I booked a trip to Europe to coincide with the Spring Tour. I will be in Cardiff, Paris and London to see the Wallabies smacked around by the Welsh, Les Bleus and the Poms. Oh well, at least I will enjoy the sightseeing in Paris and Venice and catching up with friends in Munich.

I can understand why Cardiff gets left out of your "sightseeing" itinerary but London???

On the captain. My pref is Pocock, Moore, Horwill. Hooper is learning and has it in him, he is just too green.

On Pocock Hooper. Our brains trust is going to have to find places for both of them. One of these players must forge a new position or we will keep trying to shoehorn.

On players out of position. Please no more players rotating the five-eighth role. How hard is it to see it is a specialist role ffs. Wing/fb sure. Ic vs oc sure.

Perhaps a fit, dynamic Pocock would be our answer at no.8? If he has several games there before RWC 2015 I think he would go well. The 4,5, and 6 would all need to be line out jumpers though.
Don't agree with your captaincy rankings though - Moore should lead the RWC campaign.

I've watched Pocock run the ball into contact. It is about the weakest part of his game. Putting him at 8 is not sound.

That was the aspect of his game that I expected Jake to fix.

Obviously our coaching expertise does not extend to fixing this sort of fault,

I just posted on the RWC forum coincidentally - if Pocock & Hooper are both fit and in form we pick them both and go back to the left and right flanker model. Palu and McCalman are both sound enough jumpers at 2

EDIT: sorry, replied to the wrong post but still part of the same convo.
