Yeah, right. The short sighted thinking re Adelaide started when they took the Sevens away from there to try the Gold Coast. Crowds went down, not up! But no one wants to talk about that little error.

If we just had a real, carefully thought out strategy to market the game in non-Super cities we might make some progress on stemming the leakage to AFL. But instead we just seem to have given up.

I'm all for places like Adelaide receiving a test from time to time, but let's not neglect our primary rugby markets to do so..........

This post says so much about the ARU. The Adelaide 7s was going well, so what do you do? Use it to get more participants? Get local rugby people involved? Or move it to the Gold Coast where it's just another event?

I notice the Tahs are going to play Folau at 13 next year..let's hope Link follows suit! Or even tests it out on the EOYT.

And AAC (Adam Ashley-Cooper) to 12 according to the article.

I wonder if Rob Horne is regretting his decision to stay.

Finally got around to watching it after being away camping over the weekend.

Shit conditions but nevertheless a gripping game of rugby for the purist. Lots of scrums!!!

Nic White - fuck yes. Made mistakes like everyone but at least executed with speed. Could have passed the ball in front of man a bit more. But that boot!

Izzy was good too.

Cooper even made a tackle! Around the legs no less! But on attack he didn't look in any kind of rhythm. It was a night for more of a To'omua style player IMHO.

Ant Fainga'a was good when he came on, as was Timani.

All the Kepu haters can suck it.

So if Perth is getting the Boks next season, does that mean Argentina will be headed to the Adelaide Oval.

The 3 France Tests have already gone to Bris, Mel & Sydney and there'll be a Bledisloe in Sydney & Brisbane too.

Which only leaves the Arg match if the ARU are to stick with JON's promise to take a Test to the new Stadium.

that's an ancient article. Adelaide??? Surely not Adelaide!

Was there during the 2011 world cup, went to a pub to watch the AUS v IRE game, and they refused to tune in any of the 30 televisions in the place to the rugby, all were on some AFL game.

Pleaded with the manager, said it was our national team etc etc. Even though the place was empty, he just said "you're in the wrong state mate, no way!"

That's Adelaide. ;)

Brand spanking new World Class 50,000 Seat Stadium in a city that's been starved of rugby for years - Adelaide.

And only 10 minutes walk from the Cbd to the ground.

You could even throw in a Gagr tour to the McLaren Vale brewery.

Was there around the double header in 2003, and while they had the RWC2003 banners flying in the streets, the newspapers were all about the fucking AFL draft. Barely lip service.

Vinny Munro was the TMO, and he is a very experienced international referee. He said that there was "no clear and obvious" reason not to allow the try to be awarded. That should be good enough for us.

Why do you think that you are better qualified to make the call? (By the way, the TMO has access to all camera angles, and the viewer does not, unless the broadcaster elects to show them all). Plus, he is actually there, and watched the incident in real time."

Bob Dwyer

Also, I don’t care what Vinny Munro or the commentary team say, but if Lealiifano wasn’t obstructed when Argentina scored their try, I don’t know what that is. He made contact!

Thanks Bob - couldn't have saId It better myself..

I can't think of any mungoballers or AFLers that have been refused entry to a flight.

Trouble has a habit of seeking out our Bieber boy, doesn't it.

Time for him to enrol for some French Lessons?
