Either way , thought the match was a good arm wrestle ... And the clipboards certainly have some good options ... Across everything from front row, to back row to inside backs and outside backs
Probably the only area maybe a bit light on, is in tall timber

Be interested to see how many qld kids make Aussie schoolboys on back of today's result ... From admittedly limited viewing reckon qld's 1, 8, 12 and 14 might be the goods, with the rest being well covered by good nsw options

The scots duo of porter and Crichton are definites for Aussie schoolboys IMHO... And curious to know if widders lee has had any opportunity to push a claim for hooker spot?

The team is probably close to picked. The guys like Chrighton in champ current form pick themselves. Mcgregor NSW 11 would right now have to be under consideration and there are a couple of good tall boys in the NSW 11's then there are dark horses bolters like that incredibly fit and strong recently brought up Shadow Hayson who with limited play has shown glimpses he is back in to his top GPS form and the multi games Comp ahead need guys like that.The Joeys boys combo seem to be in favour.And quite a lot of the QLD boys are no slouches.We mere mortals not in the know can't even start to pick.

From what I've seen which mainly involves NSW 1 and 2, QLD 1 and ACT plus from what I've heard id say:
1. Gavin Luka (QLD 1)
2. Alex Mafi (QLD 1) OR Ed Craig (NSW 1)
3. Vuni Fifita (NSW 1)
4. Toby Rudolph (NSW 1)
5. ??? James Lough (NSW 2) has been a workhorse
6. Angus Crichton (NSW 1)
7. Jum Woodhill (NSW 2)
8. Harley Fox (QLD 1)
The 9/10 is wide open, at 10 Horan (QLD 1) and Jooste (WA) have looked good, the match up in the final between NSW 1s Goddard/O'Shea and NSW 2s Duffy/McGregor will have a huge impact on selections. Duffy has been the surprise of the tournament IMO, so quick to the breakdown and doing not a lot wrong, could be a smoky for Schools.

The aim of the Aust Schoolboys is to win against NZ.
To beat them, you need lads who can grunt out a victory against Barbarians and Fiji, then back up against NZ.
Knowing how Team Rehab works, I'd imagine that the Selectors would be looking for lads who can cover multiple positions rather than specialists. Reliable diesel engines not flashy dragster nitro burners.
A limitation/guidance keyboard selectors need to consider is that 2 complete front rows and 3 second rowers will be needed for each game. The touring squad will need to have more than 6 fatties and 3 giraffes in it for a three games in nine days tour.
The selectors will also be selecting kids who they feel can execute the Coaches game plan best. The unpredictable risk taker who does not follow the strategy but who has a good tournament in terms of points scored may not be wanted.
They will need a reliable place kicker, and a back up kicker, and someone who can hoof the pill downfield 50+ metres, and be able to do this into a "gentle" Wellington zephyr. It's not called Windy Wellington for nothing.
Hookers struggled with lineout accuracy on Day 1 (windy). Craig, Mafi et al need to spend some time in the nearest Wind Tunnel before hoppping onto the plane to NZ.
The "top" squad may not be revealed until the last game against NZ. They will probably run on an approximation of that against Fiji in the first game of the tour, but players will take some knocks in that game and some may end up being ruled out from the big Test.
I'd tip that they will announce a squad of 28-30 for the tour. Shadow players will have to keep fit, because there is a whole season of Brisbane GPS, 8 rounds of AAGPS, 5 rounds of CAS, 4 rounds of Sydney Colts and finals, and a few ISA rounds to go before departure. You can bet that Team Rehab selectors will tap a few on the shoulder before departure date.

I think Rudolph has been really strong as has Hewatt apparently. Massive fan of Woodhill but Anderson is a fair choice. Crichton certainty. I rate Prichard over Lough but have heard good things about Yeomans aswell, Fittock good aswell.

based on what ive heard, if you want a diesel engine who runs all day then Haysons your man, although this is only from what ive seen with his GPS performance, not sure if his done enough at the national carnival
You had me there for a minute @random2. Here's me thinking you were pushing for E Pritchard (#2 for NSW II) to be selected for a Loose Forward position over J Lough (#8 for NSW II), before I realised that it was C Pritchard (#12 for Q1) over L Lough (#12 for N1) that you were referring to.
#12 Pritchard seemed to be the goods in the earlier encounters, think of a Tepai Moeroa that could pass, but he was apparently injured yesterday, or shut down by Kennewell and the N2 loose forwards, or both.
So is the final NSW I v NSW II?

Sorry about that ! Agree with the Tepai comparison, the try he scored yesterday was similar to a few scored at Stanmore last year with numerous defenders bumped out of the way. He did pick up an injury but as said previously the tour isn't until November although if he doesn't play tomorrow that could have an impact
