Great to hear about streaming quality. I've been thinking about jumping trying them out, it is $25 p/month for basic right? I know Foxtel t's one of their partners and I imagine you can watch European rugby also.

I am paying $44 p/month for Foxtel Now however I have the Showcase (HBO) channel which I quite enjoy

Same.......... it's really the only reason I have it is for HBO content and movies.

The moment HBO cuts ties with Murodch here I'm done.

Yeah, it's $25/month for the basic package that allows you to stream on two devices. You get the Gallagher Premiership and Internationals. I haven't seen any Top 14 but as you get access to Foxtel's sports pack you could find it there.

Are the prem matches on demand as well?

I'm assuming that this will be geo-locked to Australia?
There are a bunch of free and legal (for now) VPNs that work on computers, phones etc. that get around geoblocking.

Not sure about the legalities of dodging geoblocking, think it's still up in the air.

It's really easy though, and comes with the added bonus of data encryption so whatever government can't spy on your porn preferences.

Kayo is 100% owned by Foxtel. It’s Foxtels admission that they cannot increase market penetration using the traditional Foxtel package of set top box, with base package + sports package combo and pricing

I reckon this is Rugby’s last roll of the dice with regards to pay tv.

RA desperately need Kayo to have a big break through and get total Fox Sports penetration from 30% of households upwards of 50%.

I just can’t see FTA paying for Super Rugby - so the other way to get exposure is if your broadcaster can increase its market share.

Let’s hope Kayo can achieve some real growth so more Rugby fans tune in.

If Kayo does increase household penetration, yet viewership of Super stays stagnant — well the goose is well and truly cooked
