The Brumbies deep attacking alignment didn't help them at all and jsut allowed the Crusaders defence to swallow them up.

The only way the Brumbies backline seems to attack now is right on the flanks with Tomane the go to man and hope for the best.

Compare that to the Crusaders, they found gaps and they know to shadow Nadolo who will always attract defenders and wait for the offload.

The fact Wallaby rated 10,12 & 13 were outplayed by Non All Black 10,12 & 13 is a major concern.

Unlikely to see Tomane this weekend. Still wearing a ROM brace and limping.

Nemani Nadolo has been suspended for four weeks for the lifting tackle on Tomas Cubelli which includes a bye where it was accepted he would play club rugby and so he will miss three Super Rugby games.

That is a huge cop out.

There is a shit load of talent in the Brumbies, across the park and on the bench. They are performing to a very low standard though and the players are pretty clearly depressed about the two thumpings from NZ sides, just think about Moore's post match interview and the tone of his voice.

I have never bought into the hype surrounding Larkham and have always thought that his appointment over Fischer smacked of old boys jobs for the ex-player boys than one on actual merit. He is certainly not achieving a peak performance from the players.

In any event given the phase the Brumbies are in this is the final tilt for this side at the title. Next year a significant portion of the team will be moving and the team will need to transition and will need another two years to build.

Larkham getting a co-coaching role was disastrous. Fischer was older and with more experience, he was the one who should have got it. Co-coaches is a shit idea anyway, first rule of man management is unity of command.

Co-coaches was clearly a political move from the old boys network who are trying to bring down Jones now, knowing that they'd insult Gandalf with co-coaches and he'd move on.

He's one of the best forwards coaches in world rugby, and turned blokes like Fardy, Sio, Vaea, Hooper, Carter and Mowen from journeyman or total rookies, into Wallabies. If we're ever going to beat NZ, or not get facefucked by the Kiwi SupeRugby teams at your own fucking stadium, we need as many quality coaches as we can get our hands on, especially one's with good technical knowledge in EXACTLY WHAT WE ARE NOT VERY GOOD AT.

Instead of hiring Gandalf for a few years, and have Larkham build up his experience as a coach BEFORE taking over when Gandalf inevitably moved on to become the Wallabies forwards coach, bullshit politics won out and we've ended up with a coach that is unable to get the best out of the ridiculous squad that he has, and another coach with priceless skills off coaching IN FUCKEN ENGLAND! Have we not been bashed up by English forward packs without them getting Laurie Fischer's skills to make them even better at it?

Neither Christian nor Matty had half way decent games against the Crusaders. A lot of nice passing between them about 10m in front of the defensive line, and it achieved nothing. The best No 12 performance in the Aussie teams this weekend was by far KB (Kurtley Beale). The number of support runners, both inside and outside, was most encouraging, and he used them all very well.

The Brumbies need to take a leaf out of the Tahs' attacking strategy, and that just might be more workable with To'omua at 10 and Lealiifano at 12 I think.

Quality rant there B'man. Getting a bit riled up now with the shite performances on top of the back room bullshit.

The problem is will Larkham be tainted and discarded after this (performances and backroom politics)? That would be a real pity as we don't have the talent to waste.

Um, funny side note that goes with this comment - he has put his contract on the slow burn until later so he is still not committed. I wonder if his decisions may be swayed by the backroom antics (I believe he is a Jones man) and also how things are playing out atm?
