tests: v France 10/11/12
v England 17/11/12
v Italy 24/11/12
v Wales 1/12/12

a couple of weeks away yet but thought I would get the ball rolling with test match dates and opponents. The squad will most likely be announced after the All Blacks test on October 20th.

1 win is a real possibility.

Italy - win
France/England - could go either way
Wales - loss

Plenty of action to play out beforehand though. Coaches? Captain? Cooper? Injured?

Plenty of time for all the speculation over those sorts of things to play out, hopefully in spearate threads. Would like this one to be purely about the tour, the players actually selected to tour and issues on tour such as injuries / form / tactics employed.

I believe there are 2 additional games on tour though could not find any reference to them (it was hard enough finding details about the tests - no mention of them on the ARU website had to rely on a google ad from a tour company for the dates and opposition).

Interesting to see Italy having 3 tough games right before the World Rankings are used for World Cup qualification.

This will be a interesting November as Argentina I rate as the hardest tour out of the rugby championship teams and can help with improving there ranking before World Cup qualification.

Will the Wallabies hang on to 3rd??? Wales and England have a good time and it will be interesting. As well as France only play Argentina once and that's it.

I Would have the Wales test as a win or at worse either way given our now 7 game winning streak against them..

More worried about the French tbh, and I hate losing to the Poms in any sport, so that is the priority for me. Hope the Wallabies are up for some revenge for 2010!!

I wonder if England will move one of their fixtures (if tickets aren't on sale yet) up north, to say Old Trafford?

Calls in England to do so, due to the plight of Newcastle and now Sale. The game risks the issues of old.

Cooper won't go, he was a 'maybe' prior to his surgery been set back 2 weeks so now everything considered he will be ruled put with injury..

Horwill was a possibility but unlikely...

Is Pocock going to be fit? Sharpe won't be heading North so we need a new captain

It's a shame we have so many injuries, it would of been nice to experiment with a few players. Jake Shatz is one that comes to mind, would of liked to see him get a few runs. Dan Palmer is another who I think could of solidified a starting spot if fit.

That aside, I want to see Luke Morahan, Hugh Pyle, Caydern Neville, Ben Mowen and Ben Tapuai get alot of game time to see if they are cut out for international footy. McCabe at 13 is also an experiment I want.

I think AWH should go on the EOYT he is a lineout specialist and we are short In this position, given the style of rugby the NH teams play, we will need someone to control the lineouts and Douglas, Timani or Neville don't fill this role.

Not much of a ball runner but he has a good work-rate and outplayed 3 other Wallaby locks(Timani, Douglas and Simmons) In the rd18 Reds v Waratahs game.

When you think about it, our line-out options are looking pretty shithouse right now. Horwill isn't the most used jumper, he is still pretty decent though, but then you have Timani and Douglas who are not prominent jumpers. I don't recall Neville being anything special in the air either. Simmons is a good jumper, but that's about as far as it goes for him right now.

This is why Pyle needs to be given a shot, he has been the Rebels go to man with the Line out for two season's. The Rebels set plays may not have been the strongest but the line out has always been the exception.

Wallabies really miss not having Higgers as a line out option at the moment as well.

Our line out is incredibly shit right now... We lost 3 throws on the weekend and we are applying very little pressure to the opposition lineout...

I really dont see Pyle as a lineout specialist, maybe in a few more years...

I know he isn't a lineout specialist, but how is Fardy's injury going? He was the most consistant week in week out body shifting Australian lock of the year. If some of our more 'talented' locks had his attitude to the breakdown, we would be going pretty well.

Can anyone tell me the likelihood of injured players like, Kepu, Moore, Palmer, Horwill, Timani, Higginbotham, Pocock, Palu,, Cooper, Tomane, Lealiifano, O’Connor, Mitchell, Turner.

Being fit for the EOYT?.

Four losses is, too.

Standard practice would be to turn out the dirt trackers against Italy, resting the first XV for the finale against Wales, particularly after two hard matches.

Which runs the risk of a Scotland and Samoa-esque embarrassment. Italy can scrum, too.

Can someone please explain the logic behind staging two major test matches on at the same time? How on earth have the TV bosses let them get away with scheduling AUS v WAL on at exactly the same time as NZ v ENG?

Do they dislike money or what?
