Brumbies: Joe Tomane ruled out for 2 weeks with an ankle injury and Andrew Smith to the bench after a head knock in last weeks game.

And if someone gets injured in the first minute Andrew Smith will play 79 minutes after being on the bench because of a head knock. It might be OK by the doctors but the way that's been announced is not a good look for concussion protocols.

I love Patty McCabe but Maybe swapping him and Robbie Coleman around would ignite the backline better. Probably worried about his size in there but Gits use to do it at his size.

Although I guess Pat needs time in the position they think his best at.

I was wondering the same thing about McCabe. If the midfield struggles again, how much longer are they willing to persist with him at 12?

It also give those Fantasy players a chance to include Force players this week and gain vital points.

Reckon the Badger could be good for some Super Meat this weekend.

Good to see Alcock and MMM in the starting side....that's a no brainer. Wykes needs a noticeably huge game. I would have him riding the bench if it was me and let Steenkamp have the start. Hayward is a good inclusion and should have been in the squad last week. Shame to see Stander hasn't come up after the knock last week. He looks a good prospect and we will miss his abrasiveness.

Faulkner and Kbomb need to impress because Manu and Chris Heidberg who had a good game in the A team last week are waiting for a chance.

Is it too early in the season to say this is a MUST WIN GAME! Force games at home this year should be like a sailor with a wad of cash in a Bangkok bar....a sure thing!

Yeah, I have a few questions about Wykes ahead of Steenkamp, Rasolea and Delitt ahead of other players - like Hayward.

I always thought Stanley was a better centre than Stubbs or Rasolea, but he wasn't used correctly. Not that it matters - they aren't using Rasolea well either. Rasolea is a huge guy who could pump up the ball midfield, but you so rarely ever see him used. Not surprising - you so rarely ever see the Force backs used well, it's just so maddening.

Can't see the Force competing with the Brumbies. Brumbies too strong across the park, and even with their limited game plan from last week further hamstrung by McCabe, it's still comfortably ahead of whatever Foley was trying last week with the Force.

Questionable selections by foley....other side could be that he sees the brumbies bench as not that good so maybe the brumbies will die off towards the end like they did against the reds

From what I saw last Sunday, I think the Brumbies would have a harder time against this adjusted team than the one Foley has posted.
  1. Pek Cowan, a really good loose head prop with Wallaby caps, on the bench.
  2. Salesi Manu, one of the real hopes for the future, out of the squad.
  3. Steenkamp, marquee player, out of the starting line-up after one round.
  4. Alcock the best seven in Perth has to go to six.
  5. Rasolea, whose defensive play was brutally exposed on Sunday, still at 13.
  6. jayden Hayward wasted on the bench.
Welcome to Foleyland (Follyland).

As a loyal fan, I hope Pat works out at 12 but I really think his presence in the mid-field interferes with a flowing, attacking style of play. I would have him on the bench to cover for 15 if Moggy has another shocker. I was impressed with Cronje at 12 in a trial match and would prefer him to start there and Matt To'omua at 12. Robbie Coleman on the wing is another interesting selection. Not sure if this will work and question why either Rathbone of van der Walt (both specialist wingers) weren't brought in.

I must admit I am having a few misgivings about Bernie's selections in this backline. But of course, I don't know how the various players and combinations have been going at training.

Brumbies better to a man in every position except 11, 12 and probably even at 8 and 9.

Expecting a pasting, but living in hope.

Theres only so many years they can talk tough and say things are on the improve etc. They know they need to deliver on the talk and they will be mindful of starting off on a good note with the first home game. Loose this and I can see a massive drop off in the casual crowds going to Force games. I am more confident with this game I think we match up better with the Brumbies. The game against the Tahs could have been a lot closer with a more committed defense on a couple of their trys.

The atmospher at Force Field is always good and Saturday is a nice warm 37 so great conditions for running rugby.
