Hamilton 7s 2020

A lot of poor execution/composure from the Aus women in the semi. Deserved to lose.

Is Ellia Green injured - she's tring to offload and faff around instead of taking on the line.

Du Toit one of the few who stood up.

Elia making an inexcusable mistake knocking the ball on when trying to tap and go off a penalty, Canada scored a few phases later.

There just seemed to be a lack of playmaking or control up the middle.

Well Maurice Longbottom takes out the villain crown in that match, 2 tries scored whilst he was off the field for a failed intercept.. Australia looked good up until that point

Frustrating to watch. Self-inflicted punishment.

Ah well, two third place playoffs are about as good as these teams can expect at the moment.

Yup.

You just don't need to do that. It's a knockout game and you die.

Aussie Men had the sticky stuff on their hands in that bronze final against England, some of those passes and hands were pretty impressive.

NZ women bring it home, time to see if the men can complete the double.

EDIT: mission accomplished.

Heard over the weekend that Fiji not being ready to host in 2021 doesn't necessarily mean a Hamilton will retain the tournament, NZR are apparently committed to taking it elsewhere but it could return in 2022. Personally I think they'd be mad to move it outside the so-called population triangle of Auckland-Hamilton-Tauranga & of the three Hamilton is the most accessible from Auckland & has way more accommodation options than Tauranga, plus of course isn't anywhere near as congested as Auckland.

Caslick back for Sydney. Cherry fit too. Parry back as well.

I think that’s pretty much full strength for the first time in a long time.
