I was referring to Canada getting flogged by the Paddies, Rn39. I thought Canada were on the up this last decade, have they stalled? Gone backwards?

They were good at the World Cup. I think these tier 2 and 3 unions really 'work towards' WCs in terms of their selection policies in ways that make us Tier 1s look like jokers.

The Canadians are forward thinking is all, and Ireland are handy and are picking a fair few old experienced heads.

Considering Ireland just beat the ABs - something no team in the world has been able to do for about 18 tests in a row - I think Canada did very well, they went try for try with the Irish in the first half and looked really good.

Their depth in games like this is exposed because they don't have access to a lot of their players from overseas. Their bench had no capped players as an example!

All Blacks back to a more normal lineup compared to their last test against Ireland. Proper locks makes all the difference.

Hansen's still got Smith at 9. I can't see why Perenara is not their first choice halfback based on the recent form.

Am I right in saying that the six players highlighted all played for Australian Super or club sides?

And Piutau and Tuitavake with NZ sides?

Also Koloamatangi (Tasman) & you'll probably find some others if you dig deep enough. I don't think there's been a Tongan resident in their squad for some time now, certainly the last coupla RWC squads have been all foreign-based and/ or born offshore. It's one of the reasons I hope they never scrap the grandparent eligibility pathway, it'll kill PI rugby if they do.

We made some odd choices in Chicago, even allowing for the locking crisis, plus losing our midfield didn't help but this looks more like a proper AB team & one that can dictate the terms of the match rather than reacting to what Ireland are doing. It'll take probably 50-60 minutes of hard yakka to do it, but I think NZ by 7-10 at that point & as many as 20 by FT isn't out of the question. #payback4chicago.

Yep. Ireland are about to find out what happens when you kick the hornet's nest.

I think this side is significantly better than the one in Chicago. I don't think the Irish can lift enough to beat them.
