Imagine the ABs losing two in a row.

It seems they're on a mission to build depth. Perhaps a couple of losses is worth it in the year immediately following the world cup.

This weekends international predictions:

Ireland vs Canada*.

England vs South Africa.

Italy vs New Zealand - will be closer than most think.

Australia vs Scotland.

Argentina vs. Wales*.

France vs. Samoa*.

* indicates I have no idea about the line ups. Just going off recent form.

The above is paying $165.05 on Bet365 if you include an Italy win. Might put $1 on it.

Nel would have been a Springbok eventually, there's no question of that. I do feel that he's a better player now than he would have been staying in South Africa though, and that's because of the specific focus put into him, whereas he'd have just been the next man in the queue, deservedly so mind you.
I don't agree with that. WP would have been stronger if he drank more Loeriefontein water and ate more lamb braai meat.
WP Nel: Wat is in Loeriesfontein se water?

Really? Or as Shag says if some of the players don't get a break they will just burn out.
What is this showing respect thing you Aussies getting so hung up about?:p:D Because Kafe has a whinge on a TV show and Chuckles has a moan in the press it seems to be on everyone's mind:rolleyes:.
But seriously Sully the truth is you can't really roll out the same players every week and expect them to perform, I remember a year or 2 ago where they were saying that Ben from Accounts was losing 5 kg everytime he played at end of year tour and fitness gurus were saying it comes from having burned to many reserves of energy etc. Wouldn't mind betting Chuckles will take a chance to rest some players probably against Scotland. And even Italy are running out and inexperienced halves combo, so they obviously feeling the need to rotate some of their squad.
As an aside was listening to some former test players and fitness people at a luncheon where they reckoned playing a test was almost equal to running a marathon in energy burnt etc, and top marathon runners are never expected to be able to run than more than 2-3 marathons a year and be able to perform at top of their ability. Makes you think how hard it must be for all coaches to try to manage work loads etc.

Interesting to see Jenkins named as captain of Wales.

As an aside - what're the odds on Samoa to beat France? It's a beatable French team and a veteran Samoan team.

Maybe coach is expecting that Warburton will be replaced early as he works his way back from injury

That is a very strong Barbarians team that are on their third straight match so they will be match hardened and developing good combinations, If they can fix their scrum and lineout deficiencies against a team not notable for these skills they'll murder Fiji.

Koroibeti is in the Wallabies' squad, not the Baa Baas' squad. He may get time off the bench in one or two of the tests (maybe France) but the Aus team to play the French Baa Baas would be the best bet.
