15mins highlights of Scots defeating Joeys to seal the championship in r9.
Thanks again to sidesteppa for some great video footage. Joeys missed a lot of tackles early and looked flat. Scots forwards dominated all game. Multiple phases from scots enabled them to get big men running at some of the smaller joeys back.

Any current camera that records video in high definition and has a zoom will do, I use a $600 Sony but you also need a decent size memory card [16GB or more] & spare battery. But try it out with your phone or a borrowed cam first, if you can't hold it steady, zoomed in and follow the ball, it may be wasted money. Actually for an U9's game you can probably wander up & down the touchline faster than they can, so maybe zoom is not so important.
Thanks mate

Gregory shifted into 12 with the departure of Sinclair at half time and the younger Rixon (15 in the 2s) came into 15. With the departure of Sheehan halfway through the 2nd half Gibson (10 in the 2s) ended up playing 13 (a courageous effort considering he was captain of the 3s only 3 weeks ago).

Thanks HO, I lost track of the changes. I saw numbers on jumpers I didn't know existed playing in the dark at Northbridge,

Joeys should be very disappointed with the repeated short throw line out tries.

Re Grounds -

I gather some are talking about Doyle fields, Kings back fields as told by Kings parents that some were wet and a bit boggy on the weekend. Having been up close on both SJC #1 and The White Oval a few times this year, they are far and above in quality in comparison with all the main ovals for this time of the year.

for @armchair selector's benefit and maybe even Lee Grant - although his beloved cerise and blue have won enough of both for him to know the difference - Scots have not won a "championship" they have won a premiership.
Championships are undefeated premierships.

Im tipping they will end up with 3 defeats

Duly noted IS. LG had to "prune" my exuberant word count, (think I am in the naughty corner:( ). How does the original intro sound?

"Having secured 10 in a row following their first round win against Joeys, Scots had the goal of an unassailable lead to win the AAGPS “School Challenge trophy” provided they secured victory today." ;)

I never thought I would see the day when there are AFL posts on the Shore main!!!!! Variety is great but if there are 150-200 boys in each year spread across rugby, soccer and now afl, we are heading towards 50-60 rugby players per year. That's maybe 3 teams with some reserves.

Shore's Fixtures for Rugby is away, and as there is only 3 teams (Jnr, Int, Snr) it is only fair. Don't get me wrong Rugby is a great game but when push comes to shove its up to the students for what they want to play. The rugby posts had to be taken down early in ready for the new positioning of the athletics season
