Correct GO III. My misunderstanding. It was a bit strange to play a 'final' then go back into pool matches, and 9 games is a lot at this level, even though 30 min matches. It was also perverse that a team could lose 3 matches and still potentially make the state cup final. Perhaps the NSWRU could look at playing 40 min matches, have the Country and Metro Finals and follow up with winners to play and losers play off. They could still have the remaining teams play off for minor positions.

Gordon too strong in u14s in Orange. They held off ACT in the semi then did the business to defeat Southern Districts in final. Penrith was the big improver and gave some more fancied teams a big scare to finish 4th behind ACT.

Thanks for the heads up GO III. Are these on a website somewhere do you know? They don't appear to be up on NSWJRU or SJRU.

Did anyone think that the Mudgee U15 was a little weird. Norths V Gordon twice didn't make sense to me.

Having said that Gordon were by far the most well prepared boys I have seen in a long time - looked semi professional.

They didn't have the size of the Parra or Norths lads but were mobile and disciplined in attack and defence. The backline was potent and deadly - the forwards constantly in the face of the opposition

awesome footy by a lot of the teams and good to see a lot of boys having fun.

Of the other teams I though Eastwood put up a good show running with the big boys and were unlucky at times

Parara needs to stop relying on the forwards - get the backs engaged more and bring some more mobility into the forwards - cant afford to just have big fellas running hard for 15 min and running out of puff.

Central Coast a total surprise to undo the fancier Illawarra - great games by the boys from the beaches

Hunter gave Gordon an almighty scare and their prep talks before and after the game could be heard for miles

And Mudgee - great venue

Whatever QHands and Inside Shoulder talk of I do not know in the under 15's re eligibility of players. However what should be written about is the Randwick under 15's. They started Saturday with 16 -17boys . Played 8 games a total of 240 minutes of very hard rugby with 1-2 subs. Although going close against a few teams did not win a game but put in the whole weekend. This team had been depleted thru injury and late pull outs and had been supplemented by 4-5 boys from other districts who got exemption to play with them. The spirit and determination all these boys showed, through adversity not of their making, was immense. These boys showed great courage and bonded in team spirit and if you are looking who were the "real champions " for the weekend look no further than these boys.
