I will make no comments on Force players, but, I believe it's Genia and a Reds prop.

well no this is a little different, Tetera Faulkner announced a couple of days ago that he had signed with the Rebels, are you saying that its another prop seperate to this?

Independent of signings announced by the Rebels, and any new Force Signings, I have been led to believe that Genia and an additional new prop (who's identity is unknown to me) from the Reds have been signed for next season.

Thankyou, thats what i was trying to ascertain...

Well at the Reds, the likely two starting props are signed for 2018(Slipper and Tupou), but as far as we know Fa'agase, Talakai, Vanzati and Sanday are all off contract. Fa'agase and Talakai would be definite retention priorities for the Reds, but perhaps their sensing opportunity in Melbourne for more game time.

I doubt it would be Talakai, Rebels now have Faulkner and Weeks at THP. You would assume they are looking at a LHP with Smith having departed. So perhaps either Vanzati or Sanday, there's probably greater opportunity in Melbourne for either of those two.

Yep. Vanzati and Sanday would be most likely.

We do have Faulkner and Weeks but I don't think either of them will be the preferred starter next year.

and Lomax

Thats true, perhaps Faulkner has been recruited to play LHP then, he can play either side of the scrum although THP is his primary position. Currently Sa'aga is the only specialist LHP, he seems promising but still has a long way to go. Throw in someone like Sanday and theres some decent depth and quality at both LHP and LHP.

LHP
Faulkner
Sanday/Vanzati
Sa'aga

THP
Weeks
Lomax
Faulkner

Lomax was a gun the last 3/4 games he played before getting injured. I'd say he'd be starting more games than not next season. I'd be happy with Talaki, although he's prob the worst player in his extended family (Billy V, Mako V, Faletau)

Well one of things can discuss with potential players becoming available (and much better quality than Rebels roster).....who does Rebels boot from its squad....actually lets face if Rebels had this year very few players of Super Rugby quality so probably easier to state who you would retain. I will have a go..(outside of those players already gone)

Colby Fainga'a
Tom English
Reece Hodge
Marika Koroibete
Tyrel Lomax
Amanaki Mafi
Jack McGregor (Squaddie....not much game time expected)
Sefanaia Naivalu
Jordy Reid
Lopeti Timani
Jordan Uelese

Have I missed anyone as that seems about it otherwise as Rebels have the weakest Super Rugby quality players in Oz conference by a country mile so good clean out would be good opportunity for Rebels....and to be active in pursuit of Force players which had a much better squad.

I think out of respect we wait two weeks until we discuss such manners

Out of respect is why I did not discuss Force players to recruit but rather which players Rebels would retain that are super rugby quality. Each to their own but I thought this was putting the focus on which players rated as Super Rugby quality but if feeling is still a grey area with demise of the Force then happy to leave it. The Rebels just got the wooden spoon for Super rugby so hardly saying anything new that they have a very poor squad.

So we have given you your junior back how about sending Cruze home.

Jokes aside, you do realise the Force cast him aside and he ended up at the Rebels because he had a relationship with the Head of the Development Pathway at the time (who liked him in his time at the Force in a similar role).

I do know this it was during the time of Richard Graham who refused to pick anyone from the local comp. Cruze first moved to Sydney to play in the SS and was then picked up by the Rebels.
