Smashed by the Reds, Brumbies and Tahs last 3 matches. 2011-13 defence is well and truly back. Good luck in SA you'll need it..

James Horwill was just excellent tonight. Seriously awesome.

I thought Davies played well with a few tries; a very good finisher with pace, along with Lachlan Turner.

Benny Lucas and Nick Frisby as well were very solid- Frisby with two tries (few mistakes, some poor passes and kicking the ball dead 50 metres out, but what do you expect) in his 4th starting appearance.

An all round strong forwards display (Simmons, Slipper, Browning, Holmes and Robinson) with the backs following up in support.

I think the Rebels should take out some positives; their backs are bloody good in patches, with plenty of pace and talent. Just dumb mistakes and ill-discipline cost them greatly.

3 points and Man of the Match = James Horwill
2 points = Rod Davies
1 point = Nick Frisby

Thoroughly entertaining game for a neutral to watch. Some random thoughts.

Rebels jersey was excellent. They should roll with that next year.
Horwill played really well.
Despite the one stuff up, Frisby is in better form than Genia has been all year.
Burgess was pretty woeful all told. Just seemed disinterested.
Not sure how Reds fans will be feeling about losing Harris and Davies now. Both of their worth was clearly on display tonight.
Reds real issue is in 6 and 8. Just not getting enough value in those positions. Great to see LG back.

Horwill was everywhere. Absolute blinder, I hope we see more of that from him, it reminds you of his capability and why he was once rated one of the best locks in the world.

Go the Reds! Great to see some form back.

A couple of random thoughts
Rod Davies had a really good game
Luke Burgess got owned by Frisby
Two of the best falcons so far this year
Horwill MOM but got told off by ref before ht demonstrating he lacks finesse as a skipper
Debreczeni looked like a show pony, hopefully NRC will sharpen him up

But well done baby Reds! Really enjoyed watching them tonight.

Watched the first half. Rebels had great opportunities at the start but fucked every single one of them.

Discipline was shite, and the captain was at the forefront

God has no fucking sense of humour at all. It was just a joke preview, FFS!

Well played Reds.

Awful injury to Shippers. All the best to the lad.

Rebels just horrible and disinterested all night. A bad way to wave off the lads at home for 2014. SA likely to be a bloodbath.

Ah, fuck it. Is it NRC time yet? At least the Melbourne Rising jersey looked good.

Just wasn't in the mood to tolerate the second half. Theres being a supporter, then there is masochism.

Shippers injury looked nasty, wish him the best. Liked Frisbys game today, he really grabbed his opportunity.

Glad to see the Reds boys here happy, but have you thought through what it could mean?

Conversely I have to question McGahans contribution. The team just don't seem happy and that and their defence was the only thing going for them mid season. Now we have rubbish defence without even the consolation of good attack. How hard is it to work out aussie boys like to run the bloody ball?
