Tiger, you know the trouble with ass/u/me but you may be very well right

Know Aiden's talents and think he would be wasted at wing and probably just not involved enough at 15. I say this because Morahan is not really playing well and I haven't seen Shipps anywhere than on the wing (and he is playing well). The kid has had some many injuries in the past otherwise he would have been a regular starter week in and out. Hopefully he is run-on (wherever) and turns in a terrific performance.

Thinking about Simmons and his game.......wondering if his shoulder has something to do with his game. He has been carrying that shoulder injury for a while now and at that age those injuries are usually in need of surgery. Shoulder injuries, especially dislocations and labrum tears, believe it or not, heal better the older you are.

We're not looking at the Reds of 2011 here.

Nick White and Dan Palmer return for the Brumbies both specialist who make a massive impact. Leo moves to flyhalf which works well, the backs defense will be solid with McCabe 12, Smith 13 and Tomane / Speight / Mogg in the back 3.

I note Vaea is back in the starting team so it looks to me like Jake White is going to play a physical up front start to the match to break down the Reds. After that the Brumbies could run away with this match as there are too many injuries and no combos working yet for the Reds...

I'd take the Brumbies between 1:12but I think they’ll win +10 but jezz no Reds goal kicker and a short week after a long tour the Brumbies could easily go + 13 as they are starting to fire up and they know they can split the OZ conference table with this win...

We may as well not even turn up, huh?

Your forwards better turn up and roll their sleeves up, the Brumbies will be flooding the breakdown and smashing units.

If the Reds continue to choose to not stick bodies at the breakdown and ensure their ball carriers aren't isolated, they will struggle.

I am sure that analysis won't have escaped Link and co and they will be working very hard on ball-protection and counter-rucking.

Thankyou for your concerns however.

So much manlove for Toua on here, all for good reason. He'll go fine, add some pace and attacking flair to the backline, probably indicates the type of game we will played ( Robbo + Gill aswell).

Punting on Lane is better than persisting with Murphy imo.... at least Lane has a pedigree & big wraps from S.A. I think it's a calculated risk and he could possibly have started last week if he had have had some time previously with the squad.
Murphy was as big a flop as his hairdo & I hope to never see him in anything but butcher stripes ever again!

With the ultimate rookie (to Reds) Lane at 10 and in a very high pressure S15 match, we are officially now in 'total experimental rugby R&D mode'. Optimal fan approach: Get pissed and enjoy the ride.

Perhaps on your former suggestion, but maybe not so much on the latter!

Injury prone 13 that everyone loves and has talent?

Sounds like Rob Horne.

He'll either get injured again or stay fit and fail to live up to the hype.

I feel sorry for the poor bloke really. He went to Nudgee and was never very good at school, playing 2nd XV in year 12.
Moved to Brothers, trained the house down with his brother and made the top team. Begun to dominate at that level, got himself an EPS contract, did all the hard work and then gets his opportunity and muffs it.

If Lane plays well, he will take his contract. That simple really.

In saying all of this, Lane sounds like a very good prospect. It will be interesting noting the SA influences on his game. Perhaps a strong kicking game and front on defense? I am very intrigued.

I am very excited to see Aidan play, but surely Morahan or Shipps would have made more sense at 13.

I wonder if Aidan has ever played at 13 before?

He is only listed as 89kgs...
