but if you are that good, or think you are, why wouldn't you be able to do it union?
They should be able, and more names would if the ARU reduced the overseas imported players in the various S15 teams, short term pain for a long term gain. What kids would of made the transition if the Thompsons, Ellis's et al were not playing for the relevant franchises.

The point a lot of people miss is that the majority of these kids are RL kids that attend a RU school for a better education. (scholarship or not).
Exceptions are Crighton and maybe Wright (who did play a lot of league early on).

Its not necessarily about what gives them better options or quicker success. Its about what they like doing better.

The organization of Union at various levels doesn't inspire confidence in young players The clubs try hard, but as has been stated in various forums across these rugby pages, it seems an organization problem. Would the Ali medical shambles have happened even in an U20 RL or above fixture?

Can you go to Knox or joeys and still play SGBall ?

Troy Dargan from Knox has progressed from SG Ball to Under-20s at Parramatta.

There is also James Widders-Leece who is in the Rabbitohs U20s along side Toby Rudolph from Scots.
