There is always talk of importing/scholarships etc and that is best left to the Scholarship thread.

Usually player movements occur after selection in SJRU or Country U15, or similar for NSW Schools, NSW Country or SJRU U16 selection. Some of these movements are driven by the parents quest for perceived better education and rugby opportunities, some driven by Schools (or entities associated with a school) themselves.

While the teams for 2013 yet to be announced, and this will confirm whether movements between schools have happened or not, my mail is that there has been very little movement from the U16 cohort, and little if any from U15. There had been some talk of a set of brothers from Auggies moving to Scots, but this appears to be more wishful thinking and rumour mongering.

Season 2011 and 2012 saw a few lads changing schools in a manner that some have claimed are typical of "importing". I am not sure that the numbers doing similar in 2013 will be as high as those two years.

My mail is that more kids have moved north of the Tweed River to complete their schooling than have moved between schools in NSW.

Riverview looked the team to beat all day until the knockout rounds. View v Lloyd McDermott went down to the wire as well, didn't it?

Still like those jerseys. Back in the 80's some enterprising lads took to stealing a few. The following year the First XV tied them around their waist at the after match function.

I watched this event and winners LLoyd McD's seemed to be able to back up with the ball in hand, slowing down the play and creating better angles to run at. I wonder if they get this from league?

Does anyone have a team list for the Lloydies?

A little disappointing that this results are still yet to be posted on the web site.

Arthur Currie - I recognise from Aust Youth Olympics 7's team and St Gregories (ISA).

Do the other lads have much of a rugby background, and what would it take to keep them in heavensgame?

French was chs under 16 last year, carriage and widders- leece both played for country schools. I know at least 2 of them are at rugby playing schools this year, but most are league boys I think

Conor is from Avoca, and was scouted for Rugby League, although decided to go with the increasing opportunities in Rugby Union. Definitely one to keep an eye on, as has some definite talent.
