I'll bite RV. I went for unsigned guys to Super Rugby as that is generally the criteria for the Sydney team.

  1. Dane Marakai
  2. Scott Podmore
  3. Nick Lah
  4. Adam Coleman
  5. Liam Winton
  6. Trent Dyer
  7. Will Brame
  8. Peter Samu
  9. Kaleb Rech
  10. Rohan Soifoloi
  11. Corey Brown
  12. Damien Fakafanua
  13. Jesse Leota
  14. Richard Hooper
  15. Jake Woodhouse
I'm sure people will have other opinions and naturally I welcome feedback. But I wanted to go with a stong set piece and pacy backline. The reserves I have worried about including but if I did, Volavola and Latunipulu would be in there as would Rech from Parra and Matwijow (is he unsigned)

Not a bad side. Snowden is now signed with the Force and Lopeti is with the tahs. Matwijow is not signed as far as I know. I saw him at the game yesterday selling raffle tickets for Seti Tafua. He looks small for a super rugby lock. Only about 6ft 3ins.

Wasn't aware of those two signings. Have made the changes accordingly.

Sydney University have taken out the 2012 Shute Shield after defeating Southern Districts in a 15-14 thriller at Concord Oval. Despite trailing by 11 points early in the second half, the Students ran in two late tries to close out the match by a single point. The Shute Shield win capped off a perfect day

In the suggested teams of un-signed players, there is no space for Tom Alexander. Has he signed for a Super side or just not good enough in the selectors' opinions?

It's a matter of opinion of course. Latrell, that's a strong side you named above. Interesting selection choice of coaches too.. For mine though, I would pick Sofoloi ahead of Angus (despite the Catchpole) as he takes the line on more than Angus. Matt Swann is a good choice too. As for Preston, I think you've got that one wrong. Volavola would be ahead of Treweek too but as I said, it's a matter of opinion.

Marakai would be a good choice for any S15 side in either EPS or full contract. Good scrummager, quick, great ball skills.

Ps look at the votes no norths player in the top 10!

at the risk of offending I would suggest that's because they didn't really have a stand out performer. They were just a very good side across the park with everyone doing their job.

surprised me there was only 1 Souths player in top 10. Soifoloi was outstanding all year for example

Knuckles,
I though Cecil Hilterbrand may have got a look in as well.
K. Ale V's w Brame, another throw up there.
and I'd have Ed Gower over Adam Coleman - on par as player, I'm looking at hard nose experience that is value in the tight stuff.

Anyone know anything on John Grant, he didn't play any first grade this year, maybe he might want to come back?

Well it wouldn't be Brumbies, reds or rebels as the first two don't let their players play Shute shield and the latter isn't governed by the cap........so I think you could look at the spread and take a guess from there

there was no indication it was a Shute Shield club however I think the consensus is Tahs and Souths/Easts
