How Mitch Marsh got recalled I don't think anyone will ever know. His brother is slightly lucky but not too many issues with that considering his returns in Sri Lanka. He's going to keep the pressure on Khawaja who's returns in the sub-continent have been poor in the past.
Swepson isn't really much of a surprise to me, he's probably our best leg-spin prospect and Smith seems reluctant to bowl himself. If nothing else then the tour should give Swepson a good introduction to the sub-continent and the experience will be invaluable down the track.
I'd have preferred Nevill over Wade but it's pretty hard to argue against Wade after the Gabba ODI.
Feel abit for Cartwright who really did nothing wrong. If the selectors didn't think his style of play would work in India then surely Mitch Marsh wouldn't be the solution either. The alternative was probably Faulkner who would have been a better pick imo.
Of the two 'all-rounders' who can bowl spin I think we're more likely to see Maxwell than Agar in the starting XI. How Head missed out I'm not sure.
I'd like to see:
Warner, Renshaw, S Marsh, Smith, Handscomb, Maxwell, Wade, Starc, SOK, Hazlewood, Swepson/Lyon
