Footscray could be a bit of a dark horse to play finals this year. Would like to know why Vuna is playing with them instead of Endeavour Hills.

I think Vuna lives in the Western Suburbs, not the outer East. It'd be a bitch to play for Endeavour.

Edit: I'm aware he did once though.

Vuna played for Endeavour last season against Boroondara and dislocated his shoulder.

Understand the travel, just think that all Rebels players who are playing in Vic should play for their respective 5 star club as long as it's in Premier 1.

It's happened with a few players so far and does not really reflect well on the club if a player does not wish to play for the club they are helping.

I agree, plus Endeavour are actually running a sharp operation currently with 3 competitive teams who are rocking up to training.

Good sides 1sts sides are Syd 2nds level, weak 1sts sides are Syd 3rd level.

Though I've heard Rebels staff members originally from Sydney say that there's 2-3 players from every club who would comfortably play 1sts in any state.

Based on what I've seen clubs like Melbourne and Quins would compete quite well in Bris premier grade. They look like a much better outfit than anything I saw from Breakers in my last couple of years on the Gold Coast. Some of the lower sides like Endeavour Hills and Box Hill, would probably be average in Gold Coast country 1st grade.

So, what's all our opinion on how Premier Grade is going this year?

Seems to me in terms of quality it's looking like top 6, daylight, E.Hills, daylight, B.Hill.

Which is a shame because I'm a supporter of a big 1st grade competition which would include 1 club further west (probably the Rhinos) and one in the North (Norths or Eltham) for a total of 10 sides, rather than the 6 team competition that keeps getting thrown around.

Does anyone know much about what's holding BH back or anything about the rest of the clubs?

Let's get a dialogue going like last year and not just scores and reposts of write-ups!

You've forgotten about Uni there. Who aren't playing badly but they are off the pace of the top 6.

You're right. Which really highlights the question of how would Uni fit into the 6 team model some are touting when they've been out of it for the last 3 years.
