What is with the locations for domestic Rugby Championship games?

Gold Coast is a shithole, I can't think of anything that's been successful outside the theme parks.

People continue to mention an average crowd, what is an acceptable crowd figure? 40k?

We had 44k in Brisbane, 33k in Melbourne and 42k in Sydney. So 9k less, give or take than Sydney.

The argument is why does Melbourne deserve a 2nd test match over the Gold Coast....

Im just pointing out that the 6 Nations champions played in front of a 60% capacity crowd, whilst 33k isn't a bad figure, it is hardly highlighting overwhelming demand for test rugby in Melbourne.
