He's injury prone and therefore not a good player to have on the books.

*edit* I won't deny he has a lot of promise - but that is all it has ever been and the reds can't win with promise. They actually need players that can deliver, and CFS has never shown that he can in a LOT of years now.

The reds simply must be a winning team from now on. It is vital to them as a going concern.

Surprised by the eagerness by some to ditch Timu. He’s been our best forward for mine.

Personally I hope they are just resting him this week and we’ll see Tui move into the row with Rodda next week.

After Tui's performance against Ireland I see his future at 6. With semis being a bridge too far and RC and EOYT looming, I'm pleased to see him getting more game time at 6

I think we will struggle to retain our loosies.
Timi Tui are going great guns, ASY (Angus Scott-Young) is tracking as good as you could ask for his age as is Wright. Higgers has leadership experience needed for the age. Korcycyk(?) Has been solid. Thats 6 already. Are they all locked in for next year?

Higgers is confirmed for 2019. Don't think the rest of them have announced anything as yet.

Smith is gone next year and Higgers probably has another year left in his legs. With Tui most likely being used in the second row if Douglas is gone next year.

I'm not at all worried about retaining any of the younger guys just yet. Looking at the other teams, the Brumbies and Rebels are full in those departments and the Tahs have a couple of young up and comers as well.

His careers reminds me of Rob Horne. School boy superstar whose body could handle growing and training professionally. He is only 25 and was finally given the opportunity to pay in his preferred position of 13 and really started to hit his straps.

Agree if it was a direct choice between the two I'd take Mango but I wouldn't be cutting a guy unless you have some promising replacement. Reds backs still look pretty thin for next season.

You'd keep Timu surely? Tui and Timu are both pretty young, some of your other backrowers not so much. Smith is a bloody pensioner and Higginbotham is getting on too.

I'd rather the cash be spent of getting Cambell Magnay back from Japan.

There are already backs leaving without a need to replace them. I can't see them retaining Lucas as they alreayd have 3 halfbacks...so you can lose Lucas and not replace him. Lance will go, Nabuli will go, Maranta will go and Toua might not be re-signed. Even if we get stuck continuing to pay for Quade/Hunt/Frisby, there will still be cash leftover for plenty of replacements.

I think they have because they are competitive at home games.

They haven't been competitive at home games for years.

Pretty identical record at home compared with 2017. They'll probably end up with a bit better record after the Sunwolves game

Someone convince me this team is improving on last year, cause I'm not really sure of that at the moment
I think they have - but their game tonight and there games against the Sunwolves and Rebels were on par with the worst they have dealt up.

Certainly need a lot of improvement still with consistency.
