looks like it is back to normal programming .namely Joeys are the evil empire AGAIN . sorry Joker

and unless I am mistaken in 2018 ..Joeys won just about everything 1sts, 2nds, 16As, 15As etc . really everything other than the 14As (Newington) , and the 3rds (Riverview)

although a View mate told me that View won every 14s game on the weekend ?! Could that be right ? That age group at Joeys will be in for some extra-curricular rugby indoctrination

in all seriousness . think GPS rugby is doing all right . and by and large think the one round comp is fine

and really my biggest complaint now is the way Nationals places too much of a burden on the Rep level players

and I think GPS should do away with Blue and White teams . and at least restore some value in GPS Rep jerseys
  • The storm is coming. The Marist mafia is once again brewing in the west.
  • Joeys 13A undefeated as well. 15A lost one game. 20 teams /44 undefeated I think. 79% winning ratio?
  • Under 14's at Joeys will now be placed in another pasture and fed up properly. Weakest age group.
  • Love the one round comp. Every game is a grand final like the old days.
  • Blue and White has to go hey hey, ho ho....next thing we know we have rep teams for the 14G's. (Joeys will dominant this)

Ha ha you crack me up one eyed Joker. Joeys only just won a tied comp. it’s not like they went undefeated and rolled everyone. No doubt it was well deserved and sparks some life into the comp but Kings also won and Scots will lick their wounds and be back next year.

The most dominant age group at Joeys, according to the stats unveiled at the winter sports rally on Sat night at HH were the U16s with an 81% win ratio. The U16A, B, C, D and E teams were all undefeated. The Ds, in which I declare a vested interest, defeated Shore 132 to nil, Scots 94 to 5 and Knox’s Bs 12-5. They also defeated Armidale’s 16A 28 - 19. Riverview wisely chose not to play them at all. I think the Opens ages at Joeys in 2019 have a lot to be positive about.

Yes Joeys were lucky this year and I am sure many would acknowledge that. Yes not one player was considered good enough for GPS 1s and only 'shared it' but that happens sometimes when you might not have all the talent but what you do have is plenty of ticker - something they showed spades of this season time and time again. Earlier this year, a certain coach stated at a lunch that Joeys were not a threat and that they made his job easy. I don't think that was very clever. It only served as a motivator and what wonderful Karma resulted. We really should send him some flowers and a thank you card.

How ironic it was that the player who was cited from the Joeys/Kings game & then lost his spot, was the very person who received the miracle play from another replacement Xavier Ryan and scored the winning try off the bench when the season appeared totally lost? You just can't make this stuff up. So yes please forgive us if we have gotten a little bit carried away by a "shared competition"!

It's been a while but very well worth the wait.

Joeys had 1 player selected while View had 3 and Scots had 5.
Champion team beats a team of champions any day.

Joker, yep a very good old cliche, but given all your work this year, very happy to hear the happiness in your voice.
Very good for you Joe boys, and Kingsmen, apparently....

The Luke Skywalker dream, was real!

Hope this spurs you on to even funnier posts next year, can't wait. thx buddy.

Well, the initial comment started with ‘it would appear’ which i was countered with ‘i was there’. A theory versus a fact. I invited evidence to be provided and there is plenty available.

Frankly, it reeks of sour grapes from a loser however I will stand and apologise if proven wrong.

‘I am aware’ sounds as solid as ‘it would appear’

I think you need to look at the footage of the crowd invasion from behind the R'view goalline when Joeys scored their match winning try, they definitely engulfed and struck R'view no.14 on the field of play, I have it on video. I'll post up the match highlights when I get over the jet lag, get organised, edited etc.

Sidesteppa...That is a real disgrace ... and def takes the gloss off the otherwise amazing result

You should post footage as any old boys guilty of assault, should get a life ban, as that is totally unacceptable

And no doubt joeys supporters will be mortified... as that is not an indication of their normal good sportsmanship

Steppa.

I would counsel this the footage should be made aware firstly to St Joseph's College. They will be able to identify any old boy involved and take appropriate action. Posting that video here may create a legal issue in future. While I do not support or condone any alleged actions made by an old boy, I feel that this is not the place to name and shame people who may have legal recourse. What we do is have some harmless fun. I feel that this video should be watched by school heads.

The Joeys headmaster is Dr Chris Hayes. His public email is headmaster@joeys.org
