The St Augustine's boys are back from the annual game against Villanova College in Brisbane. I've heard that St Augs lost the rugby game for the first time in 15 years. Interesting.

It might have something to do with the boys being at the trial yesterday. 11 of them were in the ISA 1 team and 4 were in the 2s. Not really that surprising. 4 of them made NSW 1 &2s with another in the NSWJRU 18'S team. Also missing Daniel Ala who is out injured.
My understanding is Auggies a had a couple of their firsts and a roughly equal split between their seconds and thirds and then lost a couple of their seconds on the day of the game. Villanova played 4 Qld schools players and an academy boy. They were the better side on the day and deserved their winI've got a kid at the school and one at a GPS school . Yes its true that they dont play all boys from the one's ( depending on the strength of Villanova) but its still about winning. The contest with Villanova also involves a soccer match and the debating team.
Is it true that ISA 16/1's finished lower than the 16/2's at the State tournament this weekend?
Someone told me this in passing and I just wanted to verify.
Can someone confirm?
Agree. Both the teams played well but in patches. I was out there for the games so here is my take...Confirmed. Beat Aices 38-7 today. Lost to GPS 2 and CCC yesterday
Papa gone- I thought? It was the 2nds that played. Apparently the 1sts usually flog Villanova - so Papa agreed to send only the 2nds this year.
Unfortunately they had a bad start, and it went downhill from there.
Well done to Villanova College.
I am guessing next year it will be the 1sts that play
Having been a keen spectator of schoolboy rugby for a number of years now, the declining participation rate, especially at ISA schools, has been a concern of mine. It appears we (ie Australia) may not be alone https://www.foxsports.com.au/rugby/...l/news-story/c2e574c33968fa2b4067aa95fccdd3b3
Thoughts anyone?
Pats vs Kinross at Breen Oval in Strathfield. Honestly no idea what the score is going to be if I'm being honest Graham Richard, but I can safely say that my son, Thomas Uren, will not be in contention as he has a mild headache so therefore, the chances of St Pats winning this week are very much decreased. It's pretty hard to win a game when you're team is carried by one guy and he's out with a very serious injury. He is expected to return for the game against St Gregs and he is asking THE BIGGEST BLOKE ON THE GREGS LINE UP to run at him straight. If you do not know what he looks like, he is a strong jawed, masculine, alpha-male with huge pecs and a killer booty. Whilst he is intimidating in stature, his nature is more aligned with that of a cat - opting to drink milk rather than water, and purr rather than talk. Be wary on this bloke for the rest of the ISA season, because he's promised to rip Gregs to shreds. Keep posted for more updates on this beast

Pappa has nothing to do with the coaching now is what I've heard. Brian Burke ex Oakhill now coaches the firsts and runs the programme.
