So it looks like Harrison was available but not selected. Probably wanted to give him another week.

Yes indeed. Harrison was the heir apparent but Donaldson has grabbed his chance with 2 hands. Good to see competition in a key position. I still see it as the pair of them playing 10 and 15, but time will tell
I say interesting because both Donaldson and Newsome wont be making it easy for him to return, as will young Edmed. As you say though, good competition which is a good position to be in. Think the Reds will be too strong on Friday night though.

The one interesting stat from last weekend around Donaldson is that he didn’t run once. I guess he has Gordon inside him and a couple of runners outside him, but he didnt try the line at all. Playing within himself perhaps?

Did you see how hard some of those Fijians were tackiling?

True. He's definitely a playmaker rather than a runner, as opposed to Harrison. Donaldson plays very shallow and distributes, Harrison plays deeper and has a much better running game. It'll be up to Coleman what he's looking for I think Donaldson has a better kicking game though

Donaldson distribution game was excellent but needs to have a running game as well. We shall see.

Harrison's missed tackle stats are influenced by the fact that he's a little guy who defends in the front line, where a lot of 10's drop back out of the front defensive line.
Yes he is in general a good, gutsy defender. I just think/hope they opted to give him another week off and see how the incumbents go against a better team, the boys did pretty well last week.
