If you read the article it starts with Skelton set to be included in the RC squad, and then proceeds to say that he and Arnold might be included in the RC squad...
And then obviously it relies on Rennie having to cut one or two o/s players depending on whether Kerevi is away with the Comm Games 7's squad.

I haven't really followed too closely what Kerevi's exact plans are, but if he is going to join the Comm Games squad the 7's will wrap up a week before the RC starts, and the Wallabies spend the first fortnight of the competition in Argentina...

Skelton played pretty well before his red, though the red undoes everything.
Monster in defence and minced the English scrum. The bloke is clearly influential, premierships with Waratahs, Saracens and La Rochelle are not a coincidence. With him, Tupou and Bell our scrum would be a reliable weapon. We could actually give the backs some clean ball.

Looks worse full speed imo - he's very clearly gone to put a bit of a cheap hit on after the knock on, English player has dropped his height slightly to try regather, and Skelton's collected him in the head. Tucked his shoulder, planted his feet, and driven into the contact. His nervous laughter afterwards says a lot too. Genuinely not sure how you're defending it in any way.

The Skelton red card doesn't help his argument for selection, but it hardly rules him out either, particularly given Arnold's record of late. With Rodda's injury they look likely to pull at least one lock in for the Rugby Championship and it's still every bit the contest between the two.
