Wallabies 2023

GeeRob is reporting Skelton will be selected for The Rugby Championship now.

He plays England in 50 minutes.

Question, the 3 overseas rule, is that purely for a squad or a 23? Is it possible the current 3 and Arnold and Skelton could feature in same squad but Rennie only picks 3 in his 23 for a match.

Can’t find the specific wording, but this is how it’s promoted in the in the initial release:

“The RA Board has approved the amended policy which will allow three players to be chosen from overseas per tournament, series, or competition.”

It was significantly expensive to run but Rugby Australia were fortunate that they had a benefactor in Fox who paid for most of it (plus World Rugby funding the Drua). When the Fox contract came to an end, there was no new benefactor willing to funding the competition.
For that reason, it was an ECONOMIC issue. I was right about it

The Wallabies put up with a full back that couldn't kick or pass and hated gay people because he was "good in the air". So shouldn't be a problem.
Are u talking about the top try scorer in Super Rugby and the top Wallabies try scorer in less time (5 years)?

Well Skelton just got a clear red 35 mins into the game. Not good.
Yes but great baa baa victory over England playing with 14 men after 35 minutes, with classic baa baa tries - final score 52-21. Can we learn anything from this for the England series. Probably not given baa baas game but would love that sort of score over England.

But what you claimed was that the NRC was a ‘disaster in economic terms’ for RA, it wasn’t. Whilst operating the competition was described as cost neutral which is an economic success.

COVID was the economic disaster, and that a triggered a reduction in broadcast rights and change of RA hierarchy.

When are the commonwealth games? Will they rule Kerevi out of the RC?

And poor diddums Skelton was “hurt” he was left out of the squad for the England series. The entitlement of the man!

I'm concerned this means one of the players we actually need won't be available.

Yeap - what is factually incorrect about what I posted?

If anything you proved the point. The liabilities that Folau has/had were overcome due to the athlete he is/was.
