Australia. On numerous occasions the last few years.

He comes in for single competitions the same way Kerevi does. Often the same competitions. Isn't a regular squad member for the HSBC 7's.

Hmm I can't find any proof or recall him ever playing for Australia in 7s, you got any proof of that?

I can only find one instance of him playing 7s before, last year for the Oceania Barbarians in a the pre-Olympic training tournament in Townsville

Could play the 2nd Test.

It's not that easy. The strenght and conditioning form is quite different between XV and modern sevens. Kerevi train all the year as a XV player so a few weeks training as 7s can exhaust him.

I don't remember ABs picking Nonu for 7s to devaste their XV backline. I know SBW played Sevens but that was a selfish decision and they had Nonu there. Currently Samu is the best 12 in test level and Rennie doesn't have someone who con do what he does

That’s a bit negative, Hunter is more than an handy option & gives Rennie 2 tests to have a look at him leading into next year
Then pick Hunter to play 7s lol He's quite prepared for that. You just don't waste your better ball carrier in 7s where there's no money. You have to rebuild RA and to do that, test level is a priority. The ranking is so important for WCs.

I don't know who is the 7s coach, but for me Rennie should have more power than him. Kerevi is unique in this squad, you can't replace him. The last End of the year tour is a proof of that.

There are hundreds of ball carriers in NRL to play 7s, sign a cheap one and put there. Don't waste the only real threat that Wallabies have in their backline.

Being a Top 3 in World Rugby ranking again MUST be a priority for RA. So you have to win as games as possible.

If Kerevi wants to play 7s at the Comm Gamed he is more then entitled too. He isn’t a RA contracted player so balance of power is firmly in his court and it’ll be good for the profile of 7s also.

That's the point. He should sign for RA with a similar deal than Hooper. A big pay and a controlled game time in Super Rugby.

I love Hooper and I'm fine with his status but even him has a reliable replace in Fraser McReight. You don't have someone similar to Kerevi in all Australian Rugby and you use him in every test as starter. So give him what he deserves.

If you have to return Vunivalu to NRL, just do it and use that money in Kerevi. I quite like Vunivalu but he isn't even in the 23, so is not a priority. Kerevi is the number one pick in your backline. At 10 you have Cooper, JOC (James O'Connor) and Lolo. Many options in outside backs and at 9. At inside centre you only have one man, is your most precious treasure ATM. Paisimi doesn't play in the same League

I don't really see the fuss about Kerevi playing 7s. It's only 2 games against Argentina and it gives us a chance to work on the centre depth behind him and take a look at another overseas player. These are just about the 2 least important games for the Wallabies this year so it makes sense to use them for it and keep Kerevi happy at the same time.

I see that Billy Meakes is back in aus training with the 7's squad
Most likely as cover and training depth. He played in the Dubai tournament earlier this year. MLR offseason.

Interesting that they bring in a Meakes and not seem to even look at a lot of the previous players that are playing in Shute Shield.

It would also be to add experience that was the reason he played in spain. We were such an young low capped side at the start of the season
