Try Time?
ridiculous call from the ref. cost terrace the game. Don't get me wrong BGS played out of there skin, however there were a ridiculous amount of penalties not called against grammar, in one phase off a line-out 4, YES, 4 penalties for players going around the side of the mall were not called, lucky the GT hooker was in the right place at the right time to score.

This bgs side is looking SCARY!!! So far undefeated and with two players from the Australian schoolboy squad, Senya Konovalenko and Sean Moyle, yet to return from injury. What a comp this has set up to be

So my picks for the weekend

BSHS to have their fIrst win at home against GT in an upset. Both teams have the capability to be competitive against the top teams. GT leaders are their strength and BSHS halves are the game breakers for them. BSHS by 3 at home

IGS win go back to back. IGS have the size and they really were starting to put it together against BBC. BGS are playing well but are playing away, and whilst they are starting to show real class I am unsure they can handle IGS physical size at home. The BGS strike power outwide is the danger for IGS, and BGS confidence is starting to show but so is IGS. IGS BY 7 ( won't be surprised if I got this one wrong)

TSS to have a win vs Churchie. TSS at home, gathered enough confidence with TGS and have the cattle to create their own bit of magic. They are still smarting from Nudgee and so will be keen to make a statement. Their pack will also physically dominate although we see how Churchie can adapt. Churchie have already had their "Christmas" and anything else from here , such as an undefeated premiership is a bonus. With Nudgee and TSS both having lost 1, TSS will be keen to drag Churchie back to the pack, and Churchie won't be focused, still delirious from their feats last weekend. TSS by 3 in a ding-dong battle.

Nudgee v BBC -This will be a draw. BBC showed Zero enthusiasm against IGS and look totally demoralised. Body Language is everything and they looked asleep. They do however have competition leading quality in their team and if they could be pulled together as a team, they could be dangerous. Nudgee will be in a daze. "Did that just happen?" or "is it just a bad dream? " . With the genuinely sad new news that RT is out, for a number of weeks if not season things will be again be different for Nudgee. BBC v Nudgee in recent years has become a real grudge match and so BBC will finally dig deep and show some moxy. If they don't it will be a cricket score! Nudgee will be keen to show they are not overrated nor a one man team. Can they? or will BBC kick'em while they are down.
Upfront Nudgee will be too strong and will Muscle their way to the early lead in the first half , but in the second half , as they get puffed, the normal potent backline will lack combination in both attack and defence without the link of RT, and BBC flyers will have too much pace for them , perform a "modern miracle at Miskin" and scrap it out for a draw. 14-all.

Good Luck all teams .

In the bigger picture, has BGS not been penalized enough ...

I thought Churchie might get up last weekend v Nudgee and I think they are the team to beat now for sure. It might be tough to beat TSS in the Fish Tank but I think they might just get across the line there. If Churchie win this, they should go all the way.

Nudgee should make easy work of BBC but still, they need to work on their kicking game as it is appalling.

Ippy and BGS will be an interesting one and I think these two teams will knock off one of the big sides, possibly Nudgee.

Terrace will make easy work of Stat High.

Completely agree Nudgees coach Andrew Scotney has been out coached the past two weeks and his team selections have been questionable. Will be interesting to see if he makes any changes this week.
Well said....time to move him on.... unfortunately too late for some talented final year boys who haven't and won't get an opportunity

I couldn't agree more re the coaching of Nudgee. They've played the same type of game all three weeks and when Toia came off in the first 25 mins they didn't adjust their game to a tight match when up 24 - 12 and instead ran in their own 22 and played expansive rugby which ultimately opened the opportunity for Churchie to win the game. I couldn't believe I kept watching long lofting passes v a rushing Churchie defence, one of which resulted in an intercept try. And....they kept on doing this after this mishap.

Does anyone have any views on TSS v Churchie?

Churchie will have a battle on their hands when they play TGS on Old Boys' Oval next Saturday. I will tip TGS in an upset.

my tips for round 4
GT
TSS
IGS
NC
Jeez all I can say is that this is a pretty left-field takes on some of the games here

GT vs State high I can see happening. A disappointing loss out at windy Northgate would not tarnish this team's dominant reputation, and as I would say myself, the program as a whole.

TSS vs Churchie. Can see how you think some thought about TSS sharks winning at the ocean, but the BOC army will be in full force on the morrow. A dominating game will make a further statement much like the one they made last week at home. However, the premiership isn't in their hands yet as many other underdogs will be looking to climb and disarm them at the top of the podium.

BGS vs IGS. Your kidding yourself? All this chat about how IGS is a fortress at home. The program's rugby support group needs to take a good look at themselves in the mirror for this quite frankly false advertising. When I came down the range to view the king of the hill round I thought that the next possible loss (even if this is a far stretch) would be at ross during round 5. With seasons Veterans coming back from Covid such as the big Benjamine Mooney, would be running a muck all around the IGS starting 15, as if it were dangling Candy in front of a baby, much like what they could quite possibly do when they lift the premiership cup in front of the widen GPS community. Lucky I won't have to get up too early to make the drive down the range to the lovely residents of Ipswich to watch the game.

NC vs BBC will be a good game. Hungry for what the youth are calling it the "W" the young side will be looking to turn the staggard season around. NC backline will have to take a look at themselves, with the loss of big money man Robert Toia. There is no I in team as they would say back in my day, and we well and truly saw that in the second half of last week.

Open for feedback to my analysis.

Churchie will have a battle on their hands when they play TGS on Old Boys' Oval next Saturday. I will tip TGS in an upset.
Les I think TGS is a much better team than they are given credit for- but can they beat Churchie?. They will have a bruising encounter against their "Kissing Country Cousins" at Downlands this weekend and we all understand how important that is to both Schools. Therefore TGS will be giving it everything to overcome the "Gps Never-to-bes " and I suspect TGS will win albeit very bruised. They will spend a lot of nervous energy dealing with that challenge. TGS are a good team , but I have said in previous posts, their pack , whilst gusty and able to cause trouble, lack the drilled in Polish of the top teams. I guess time will tell.

I don't think Churchie will be thinking about TGS at this juncture either with another big team to overcome. TSS is a Formidable team and I fully expect their physical presence and their "special game breaking back" to be more than a handful. I do see a chink in the Armour of TSS who demonstrated last week they can be rattled easily and perhaps this is not the TSS of Teams past, but lets see what happens. Another great game to keep an eye on.

Churchie are running on an unexpected High at the moment and their school is right behind them. You can smell the spirit in the air still from last weeks game. If that spirit was to travel to SHARK PARK this weekend, the SHARK PARK advantage would be nullified. Regardless of a Churchie or TSS win this weekend, the following weeks ACGS Fixture up the Range, would surely be worth a trip to see the spectacle. I will reserve my prediction for that game until after this weekend and I suggest Churchie does too.

Nudgee coach put Archie Condon on for the last 2 minutes v Churchie too little too late. With the injury to Toia who unfortunately might be gone for season at least the coach can now make changes and shuffle the backline and save face for his previous poor selection decisions. No fault to the lads but issues in the first xv are more than just mid field. Nudgee defence was not to their standard but that happens when you play kids with injuries. Pointless having depth if you don’t use it. Two weeks in a row Nudgee were out coached. With no Toia, Nudgee will have to learn a whole new game plan, if coach knows one.
I see he’s starting at 10 against BBC. I’ve heard great things about this kid. Will be interesting to watch him against BBC on Old Boys day tomorrow.

GT boys are playing for pride now and their positions. If the backline leak points again there has to be changes. GT to win by 10.
This Churchie team was over-hyped this week following their win over NC. TSS will sense a real opportunity to share a premiership today. TSS by 7.
Although undefeated, BGS are not the team everyone is beating them up to be. On the other hand this IGS mob are a bunch of under dogs who are a genuine threat to all teams. IGS by 15.
Get the record books out. NC will put a cricket score on BBC.
