Vailanu at the Tahs went alright at Super Rugby level, miles away from test level though. Kaitu’u? Is he fit? Given they sent Pollard, maybe not. And other than BPA, are there any other Australian hookers playing OS?
From Australia it would be Kaitu'u or Faessler based on the Australia A squad. BPA would be a much better option though

I’m guessing that FF (Folau Fainga'a) will be good to go against SA along with Porecki and a bunch of other first choice. I read 8 I think?

Played Club Rugby in Brisbane last week or the week before? Somebody said he wants to play for Samoa.. not sure if true?

You couldn’t blame him. He played last year against the ABs and went pretty well. Scored a good meaty and was part of a very good scrum.
Rennie doesn’t want him. He has to be ahead of both hookers in the 23 tomorrow.

Thinking about coverage of centre v back 3... players cabable of playing centre: Foketi, Ikitau, Petaia, Hodge, JOC (James O'Connor).

Players capable of playing back 3: Koro, Petaia, Wright, Hodge

So that's 5 players as cover for 12/13 and 4 players for coverage of 11/14/15 before taking number 23 into account.

Seems odd they went with another specialist centre over an outside back.

Is the Force Hooker injured? Or out of favor. Would have thought both he and Jordan would be ahead of the 2 playing tomorrow. Or at least Pollard given his youth.

The flaw with that analysis is that I doubt that either JOC (James O'Connor) or Petaia have been training in the centres. Sure they can play there but JOCs brief will be to manage the game from 10, potentially for the whole 80, and Petaias brief will be to get through the game. I don’t think it’s odd under the circumstances.

I'd be more concerned about the bench front row than the Nos 22 and 23 for this test. Gibbon, Pollard and Fa'amausili must be the least experienced front row combination since the game was first played at this level. Don't anticipate seeing them on before the 68 - 70 minutes but if forced on sooner could pose problems.
